ََ ُ َ َ َ َ ِ َ ٰٓ َ ْ َ َ َ َ

ْ‫نْ َج ِاعلْْ ِ ّفْْٱْلرضْْخ ِليفةْْْۖقال ٰٓوْاْأتج َعلْْ ِف َيهْاْ َمنْيف ِس ْدْ ِف َيهْاْ َو َيس ِفك‬ ْ ّ ‫الْ َرُّبكْْ ِلل َملـ ِئك ِْةْ ِإ‬ ْ ‫ْو ِإ ْذْق‬
َٓ َ َ َ َ َ َ َّ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ٰٓ ِّ َ َ َ َ ِ َ َ َ َ ٓ ِ
‫مْءاد ْمْْٱْلسما ْء‬ ْ ‫وعل‬٣٠ْ‫ون‬ ْ ‫لْتعلم‬ ْ ْ‫نْأعلمْْمْا‬ ْ ‫الْ ِإ‬ ْ ‫كْْۖق‬ ْ ‫كْونقدسْْل‬ ْ ‫ْْٱلد َما َْءْ َونحنْْن َس ِبحْْ ِب َحم ِد‬
ُ َ ُ ٰٓ َ ٰٓ َ ٓ َ ّ ُٔ ۢ َ َ َ َ َ ٰٓ َ َ ْ َ َ َ َّ ُ
ْ‫قالوا‬٣١ْ‫ي‬ َّْ ‫ونْ ِبأس َما ِْءْهـؤَل ِْءْ ِإنْْكنتمْْ َصـ ِد ِق‬ ْ ِ ‫الْأن ِبـ‬ ْ ‫لْْٱلملـ ِئك ِْةْفق‬ ْ ‫ْكل َهْاْثمْْ َع َرضهمْْع‬
ٓ َ ۢ َ َ ٰٓ َ َ ْ ْ َ َ َ ٓ َ َ َّ َ َ ٓ َ َ َ ْ َ َ َ َ
ْ‫الْ َيـ َٔـادمْْأن ِبئهمْ ِبأس َما ِئ ِهم‬ ْ ‫ق‬٣٢ْْ‫نتْْٱل َع ِليمْْْٱل َح ِكيم‬ ْ ‫لْمْاْعلمتنْاْْۖ ِإنكْْأ‬ ْ ‫مْلنْاْ ِإ‬ ْ ‫لْ ِعل‬ ْ ْ‫ك‬ ْ ‫ْْۖسبحـن‬
َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ِ ُ َّ َ َ َ َ ٓ َ َ َۢ ٓ َ َ
ْ ‫تْ َْوٱْلرضْْ َوأعلمْْ َمْاْتبد‬
‫ون‬ ْ ِ ‫بْْٱلس َمـ َو‬ ْ َ ‫نْأعلمْْغي‬ ْٰٓ ّ ‫الْألمْْأقلْلكمْْ ِإ‬ َْ ‫ْفلمْاْأن َبأهمْْ ِبأس َما ِئ ِهمْْق‬
ْ َ َ ََ َ ٰٓ َ َ َ ٰٓ َ ْ َ ْ َ ْ َ ُ
َ‫ب‬ َ
ْ ‫نْ ْوْٱستك‬ ْ ‫يسْأ‬ ْ ‫َلْ ِإب ِل‬ ْ ‫واْ ِل َٔـاد َْمْف َس َجد ٰٓوْاْ ِإ‬ ْ ‫ َو ِإ ْذْقلنْاْ ِلل َملـ ِئك ِْةْْٱسجد‬٣٣ْ‫ون‬ ْ ‫ْ َو َمْاْكنتمْْتكتم‬
ًَ َُ َ ْ َ َ َ َ ُ َ ٰٓ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ ََ
‫لْ ِمن َهْاْ َرغدْاْ َحيثْْ ِشئت َما‬ ْ ‫كْْٱل َجن ْةْ َوك‬ ْ ‫نتْ َوزوج‬ ْ ‫ َوقلنْاْ َيـ َٔـادمْْْٱسكنْْأ‬٣٤ْ‫ين‬ َْ ‫نْْٱلكـ ِفر‬ ْ ‫انْ ِم‬ ْ ‫ْوك‬
َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َّ َ َ َ َ َّ َ َ ُ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ََ
‫فأزله َمْاْْٱلشيطـنْْعنهْاْفأخ َرجه َمْاْ ِممْاْكانا‬٣٥ْْ‫ي‬ ّ ‫نْْٱلظـ ِل ِم‬ ْ ‫لْتق َربْاْهـ ِذ ِْهْْٱلشج َرْةْفتكونْاْ ِم‬ ْ ‫ْو‬
َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ّ ُ َ َ ُ َ ْ
ْٰٓ ‫فتل‬٣٦ْ‫ي‬
‫ق‬ ّْۢ ‫لْ ِح‬ ْ ‫فْٱْلرضْْمستق ْرْ َو َمتـعْْ ِإ‬ ْ ِ ْْ‫واْ َبعضكمْْ ِل َبعضْْعد ْوْْۖ َولكم‬ ْ ‫يهْْۖ َوقلنْاْْٱه ِبط‬ ِْ ‫ْ ِف‬
َ ْ َ َ
َ ۢ َ َ َ
‫واْ ِمن َهْاْ َج ِميعا‬ ْ ‫قلنْاْٱه ِبط‬٣٧ْْ‫ابْ َعلي ِْهْْۚ ِإنهْْۥْه َْوْْٱلتوابْْْٱلر ِحيم‬ ْ َ ‫تْفت‬ ْ ‫ْْۖ َءادمْْ ِمنْ ِرب ِْهْۦْك ِلمـ‬
َ َ َ َّ َ َ َ َ َ ََ َ َ َ َ َ َ ُ ْ َ
ْ‫ينْكفروا‬ ْ ‫ ْوْٱل ِذ‬٣٨ْ‫ون‬ ْ ‫لْهمْْ َيح َزن‬ ْ ‫لْخوفْْ َعلي ِهمْْ َو‬ ْ ‫اىْف‬ ْ ‫عْهد‬ ْ ‫نْهدىْفمنْت ِب‬ ْ ِّ ‫ْف ِإمْاْ َيأ ِت َينكمْ ِم‬
َ َ َ َ ٰٓ َ ۟ ُ ٓ َ َ َ
٣٩ْ‫ون‬ ْ ‫ارْْۖهمْْ ِف َيهْاْخـ ِلد‬ ْ ‫كْأص َحـبْْْٱلن‬ ْ ‫واْ ِب َٔـايـ ِتنْاْأولـ ِئ‬ ْ ‫َوكذب‬
SurahْBaqarah:
˹Remember˺ْwhenْyourْLordْsaidْtoْtheْangels,ْ“Iْamْgoingْtoْplaceْaْ
successiveْ˹human˺ْauthorityْonْearth.”ْTheyْaskedْ˹Allah˺,ْ“WillْYouْ
placeْinْitْsomeoneْwhoْwillْspreadْcorruptionْthereْandْshedْbloodْ
whileْweْglorifyْYourْpraisesْandْproclaimْYourْholiness?”ْAllahْ
responded,ْ“Iْknowْwhatْyouْdoْnotْknow.”ْHeْtaughtْAdamْtheْnamesْ
ofْallْthings,ْthenْHeْpresentedْthemْtoْtheْangelsْandْsaid,ْ“TellْMeْ
theْnamesْofْthese,ْifْwhatْyouْsayْisْtrue?”.ْTheyْreplied,ْ“Gloryْbeْtoْ
You!ْWeْhaveْnoْknowledgeْexceptْwhatْYouْhaveْtaughtْus.ْYouْareْ
trulyْtheْAll-Knowing,ْAll-Wise.ْAllahْsaid,ْ“OْAdam!ْInformْthemْofْ
theirْnames.”ْThenْwhenْAdamْdid,ْAllahْsaid,ْ“DidْIْnotْtellْyouْthatْIْ
knowْtheْsecretsْofْtheْheavensْandْtheْearth,ْandْIْknowْwhatْyouْ
revealْandْwhatْyouْconceal?”.ْAndْ˹remember˺ْwhenْWeْsaidْtoْtheْ
angels,ْ“ProstrateْbeforeْAdam,”1ْsoْtheyْallْdid—butْnotْIblîs,2ْwhoْ
refusedْandْactedْarrogantly,3ْbecomingْunfaithful.ْWeْcautioned,ْ“Oْ
Adam!ْLiveْwithْyourْwifeْinْParadiseْandْeatْasْfreelyْasْyouْplease,ْ
butْdoْnotْapproachْthisْtree,ْorْelseْyouْwillْbeْwrongdoers.”ْButْ
Satanْdeceivedْthem—leadingْtoْtheirْfallْfromْtheْ˹blissful˺ْstateْtheyْ
‫ْ‪wereْin,1ْandْWeْsaid,ْ“Descendْfromْtheْheavensْ˹toْtheْearth˺ْas‬‬
‫ْ‪enemiesْtoْeachْother.2ْYouْwillْfindْinْtheْearthْaْresidenceْand‬‬
‫ْ‪provisionْforْyourْappointedْstay.”ْThenْAdamْwasْinspiredْwithْwords‬‬
‫ْ‪˹ofْprayer˺ْbyْhisْLord,1ْsoْHeْacceptedْhisْrepentance.ْSurely,ْHeْisْthe‬‬
‫ْ!‪AccepterْofْRepentance,ْMostْMerciful.ْWeْsaid,ْ“Descendْallْofْyou‬‬
‫ْ‪ThenْwhenْguidanceْcomesْtoْyouْfromْMe,ْwhoeverْfollowsْit,ْthere‬‬
‫ْ‪willْbeْnoْfearْforْthem,ْnorْwillْtheyْgrieve.ْButْthoseْwhoْdisbelieve‬‬
‫ْ‪andْdenyْOurْsignsْwillْbeْtheْresidentsْofْtheْFire.ْTheyْwillْbeْthere‬‬
‫”‪forever.‬‬

‫َ َ ُ‬ ‫ٰٓ‬ ‫َ َ‬ ‫ْ َ ْ َ ٰٓ َ‬ ‫َ ُ‬ ‫ََ َ َ َ ُ‬
‫يسْلمْْ َيكنْ ِم َنْ‬ ‫َلْ ِإب ِل ْ‬ ‫واْ ِل َٔـاد َْمْف َس َجد ٰٓوْاْ ِإ ْ‬ ‫ْ َولق ْدْخلقنـكمْْثمْْ َصورنـكمْْثمْْقلنْاْ ِلل َملـ ِئك ِْةْْٱسجد ْ‬
‫َ َ َ‬ ‫َ َ َ َ َ َ ََ َ‬ ‫َ َ َ َََ َ َ َ‬
‫بْ ِمنهْْخلقت ِ ّنْْ ِمنْن ۢ ْ‬
‫ار‬ ‫الْأنْاْخ ْ‬ ‫كْْۖق ْ‬ ‫لْتسج ْدْ ِإ ْذْأمرت ْ‬ ‫كْأ ْ‬ ‫الْمْاْمنع ْ‬ ‫ينْ‪١١‬ق ْ‬ ‫ْْٱلسـ ِج ِد َْ‬
‫ينَ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ َ َ َ ُ َ َ َ ََ َ َ َ َ‬ ‫َ َ َ‬ ‫َ َ َ‬
‫نْْٱلصـ ِغر ْ‬ ‫كْ ِم ْ‬ ‫بْ ِفيهْاْ ْفٱْخرجْْ ِإن ْ‬ ‫كْأنْتتك ْ‬ ‫الْ ْفٱه ِبطْْ ِمنهْاْفمْاْيكونْْل ْ‬ ‫يْ‪١٢‬ق ْ‬ ‫ْ َوخلقتهْْۥْ ِمنْْ ِط ّْۢ‬
‫َ َ َ َٓ َ َ َّ ََ َ‬ ‫َ َ َ َ ْ َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ّ ٰٓ َ‬ ‫َ َ َ‬
‫نْْلقعدنْ‬ ‫الْف ِبمْاْأغويت ِ ْ‬ ‫ينْ‪١٥‬ق ْ‬ ‫نْْٱلمنظر َْ‬ ‫كْ ِم ْ‬ ‫الْ ِإن ْ‬ ‫ونْ‪١٤‬ق ْ‬ ‫لْ َيو ِ ْمْيب َعث ْ‬ ‫نْ ِإ ْ‬ ‫نظر ِ ْ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫الْأ‬
‫ْ‪١٣‬ق ْ‬
‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ۢ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ َلهمْْ ِ َ‬
‫يْأي ِد ِيهمْْو ِمنْْخل ِف ِهمْْوعنْْأي َمـ ِن ِهمْْوعنْ‬ ‫نْب ّْ‬ ‫يمْ‪١٦‬ثمْْل َٔـ ِاتينهمْم ْ‬ ‫كْْٱلمست ِق ْ‬ ‫صط ْ‬
‫َّ َ َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ََْ‬ ‫ََ َ‬ ‫َ ٓ‬
‫كْ ِمنهمْ‬ ‫الْْٱخرجْْ ِمن َهْاْ َمذءومْاْمدحورْاْْۖل َمنْت ِب َع ْ‬ ‫ينْ‪١٧‬ق َْ‬ ‫لْت ِج ْدْأ ك َ َبهمْْشـ ِكر َْ‬ ‫ْش َما ِئ ِل ِهمْْْۖو ْ‬
‫َ ََ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ ْ َ َ َ َُ‬ ‫ُ َ َ ََ‬ ‫َ َ ٰٓ َٔ َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ّ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ََ ََ َ َ َ ُ َ‬
‫لْ ِمنْْحيثْْ ِشئتمْاْو ْ‬
‫ل‬ ‫كْْٱلجن ْةْفك ْ‬ ‫نتْوزوج ْ‬ ‫يْ‪١٨‬ويــادمْْْٱسكنْْأ ْ‬ ‫مْ ِمنكمْْأجم ِع ْ‬ ‫ْْلمَلنْْجهن ْ‬
‫َ َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ََ َ َ َ‬ ‫َّ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ىَ‬
‫ىْلهمْاْمْاْ ْوۥر ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫سْلهمْاْْٱلشيطـنْْ ِليب ِد ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫يْ‪١٩‬فوسو ْ‬ ‫َ‬
‫نْْٱلظـ ِل ِم ّْ‬ ‫ْتق َر َبْاْهـ ِذ ِْهْْٱلشج َرْةْفتكونْاْ ِم ْ‬
‫َ‬ ‫َ‬
‫َ َ ٰٓ َ َ ُ َ َ َ َ ّ َ َ ُ َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ُ‬
‫يْأ ْوْتكونْاْ ِم َْ‬
‫ن‬ ‫َلْأنْتكونْاْملك ْ‬ ‫الْ َمْاْن َهىك َمْاْ َرُّبك َمْاْ َعنْْهـ ِذ ِْهْْٱلشجرِْةْ ِإ ْ‬ ‫ْ َعنه َمْاْ ِمنْسوء ِت ِهمْاْوق ْ‬
‫َ َ‬ ‫ۢ ََ َ َ‬ ‫َ َ َّ‬ ‫َ َ َ َ َ ٓ ِّ َ ُ َ‬ ‫ْ َ‬
‫ورْْۚفلمْاْذاقْاْْٱلش َج َرْةْ َبدتْ‬ ‫يْْ‪٢١‬فدلىه َمْاْ ِبغر ْ‬ ‫نْْٱلنـصح َّ‬
‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫نْلك َمْاْل ِم َْ‬ ‫ينْ‪٢٠‬وقاسمهمْاْ ِإ ْ‬ ‫ْْٱلخـ ِل ِد َْ‬
‫َ‬ ‫َ َ َ َ َ ُّ َ ٓ َ َ َ َ ُ‬ ‫ََ ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ َ‬ ‫َ‬
‫قْْٱل َجن ِْةْْۖونادىهمْاْرب همْاْألمْْأنهكمْاْعن‬
‫َ‬ ‫انْ َعلي ِه َمْاْ ِمنْور ِ ْ‬ ‫ْله َمْاْ َسو َء ته َمْاْ َوط ِفقْاْ َيخ ِصف ِ ْ‬
‫َّ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ َ َ َ َ َٓ َ‬ ‫َُ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ َّ ُ ٓ‬ ‫ُْ‬
‫الْ َربنْاْظلمنْاْأنف َسنْاْ َو ِإنْلمْ‬ ‫يْ‪٢٢‬ق ْ‬ ‫ْ ِتلك َمْاْْٱلش َج َر ِةْْ َوأقلْلك َمْاْ ِإنْْْٱلشيطـ َنْْْلك َمْاْ َعد ْوْ ُّم ِب ّْ‬
‫َُ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ ْ َ‬ ‫َ ََ ُ َ‬ ‫ََ َ‬ ‫َ‬
‫واْ َبعضكمْْ ِل َبعضْْ َعد ْوْْۖ َولكمْْ ِ ّ ْ‬
‫ف‬ ‫الْٱه ِبط ْ‬ ‫ينْ‪٢٣‬ق َْ‬ ‫نْْٱلخـ ِِس َْ‬ ‫ْتغ ِف ْرْلنْاْ َوتر َحمنْاْلنكوننْْ ِم ْ‬
‫َ َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ‬ ‫ۢ‬ ‫ّ‬ ‫ََ َ ََ َ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ونْ‪٢٥‬‬ ‫ونْو ِمنهْاْتخرج ْ‬ ‫نْو ِفيهْاْتموت ْ‬ ‫الْ ِفيهْاْتحيو ْ‬ ‫يْ‪٢٤‬ق ْ‬ ‫ْٱْلرضْْمستق ْرْومتـعْْ ِإلْْ ِح ْ‬
‫‪SurahْAraf:‬‬
‫ْ‪SurelyْWeْcreatedْyou,1ْthenْshapedْyou,ْthenْsaidْtoْtheْangels,‬‬
‫ْ‪“ProstrateْbeforeْAdam,”ْsoْtheyْallْdid—butْnotْIblîs,2ْwhoْrefusedْto‬‬
‫ْ‪prostrateْwithْtheْothers.ْAllahْasked,ْ“Whatْpreventedْyouْfrom‬‬
‫ْ‪prostratingْwhenْIْcommandedْyou?”ْHeْreplied,ْ“Iْamْbetterْthanْhe‬‬
is:ْYouْcreatedْmeْfromْfireْandْhimْfromْclay.”ْAllahْsaid,ْ“Thenْgetْ
downْfromْParadise!ْItْisْnotْforْyouْtoْbeْarrogantْhere.ْSoْgetْout!ْ
Youْareْtrulyْoneْofْtheْdisgraced.”ْHeْappealed,ْ“Thenْdelayْmyْendْ
untilْtheْDayْofْtheirْresurrection.”ْAllahْsaid,ْ“Youْareْdelayedْ˹untilْ
theْappointedْDay˺.”1Heْsaid,ْ“ForْleavingْmeْtoْstrayْIْwillْlieْinْ
ambushْforْthemْonْYourْStraightْPath.ْIْwillْapproachْthemْfromْtheirْ
front,ْtheirْback,ْtheirْright,ْtheirْleft,ْandْthenْYouْwillْfindْmostْofْ
themْungrateful.”ْAllahْsaid,ْ“GetْoutْofْParadise!ْYouْareْdisgracedْ
andْrejected!ْIْwillْcertainlyْfillْupْHellْwithْyouْandْyourْfollowersْallْ
together.”ْ˹Allahْsaid,˺ْ“OْAdam!ْLiveْwithْyourْwifeْinْParadiseْandْeatْ
fromْwhereverْyouْplease,ْbutْdoْnotْapproachْthisْtree,ْorْelseْyouْ
willْbeْwrongdoers.”ْThenْSatanْtemptedْthemْinْorderْtoْexposeْwhatْ
wasْhiddenْofْtheirْnakedness.ْHeْsaid,ْ“YourْLordْhasْforbiddenْthisْ
treeْtoْyouْonlyْtoْpreventْyouْfromْbecomingْangelsْorْimmortals.”ْ
Andْheْsworeْtoْthem,ْ“Iْamْtrulyْyourْsincereْadvisor.”ْSoْheْbroughtْ
aboutْtheirْfallْthroughْdeception.ْAndْwhenْtheyْtastedْofْtheْtree,ْ
theirْnakednessْwasْexposedْtoْthem,ْpromptingْthemْtoْcoverْ
themselvesْwithْleavesْfromْParadise.ْThenْtheirْLordْcalledْoutْtoْ
them,ْ“DidْIْnotْforbidْyouْfromْthatْtreeْandْ˹didْIْnot˺ْtellْyouْthatْ
Satanْisْyourْswornْenemy?”ْTheyْreplied,ْ“OurْLord!ْWeْhaveْ
wrongedْourselves.ْIfْYouْdoْnotْforgiveْusْandْhaveْmercyْonْus,ْweْ
willْcertainlyْbeْlosers.”ْAllahْsaid,ْ“Descendْasْenemiesْtoْeachْ
other.1 Youْwillْfindْinْtheْearthْaْresidenceْandْprovisionْforْyourْ
appointedْstay.”ْHeْadded,ْ“Thereْyouْwillْlive,ْthereْyouْwillْdie,ْandْ
fromْthereْyouْwillْbeْresurrected.”

َ َ َ َ ٓ ْ ۢ ۢ ْ َ ‫ْ َو َل َق ْدْ َخ َلق َنْاْٱْل‬

ْ ‫ َْوْٱل َجانْْخلقنـهْْ ِمنْْقبلْْ ِمنْن‬٢٦ْ‫ون‬
‫ار‬ ْ ‫لْ ِمنْْ َح َمْإْمسن‬ ْۢ ‫نسـ َنْْ ِمنْ َصل َصـ‬
َ َ ۢ ۢ َ َ ِ ۢ َ ْ َ ِ َ َ ۢ َ ِّ َ ٰٓ َ َ ْ َ ُّ َ َ َ ِ َ
‫ف ِإذا‬٢٨ْ‫ون‬ ْ ‫لْمنْْحمْإْمسن‬ ْ ‫ِساْمنْصلصـ‬ ْ ‫قْب‬ ْ ‫نْخـ ِل‬ ْ ‫الْربكْْ ِللملـ ِئك ِْةْ ِإ‬ ْ ‫و ِإ ْذْق‬٢٧ْ‫وم‬ ْ ِ ‫ْْٱلسم‬
ٰٓ َ َ َ ُّ ُ َ ٰٓ َ َ ْ َ َ َ َ َ َ ََ ََ
ْ ‫ ِإ‬٣٠ْْ‫فسج ْدْْٱلملـ ِئكةْْكلهمْْأجمعون‬٢٩ْ‫ين‬
‫َل‬ َ
ْ ‫واْلهْْۥْسـ ِج ِد‬ ْ ‫وحْفقع‬ ُّ
ْ ِ ‫يهْ ِمنْْر‬ ِْ ‫ْ َسويتهْْۥْ َونفختْْ ِف‬
َ َ َ َ ُ َ َ َ َ َ ٰٓ َ َ َ ُ َ ٰٓ َ َ َ
ْ‫الْلم‬ ْ ‫ق‬٣٢ْ‫ين‬ َْ ‫ونْ َم َْعْْٱلسـ ِج ِد‬
ْ ‫لْتك‬ ْ ‫الْ َيـ ِإب ِليسْْمْاْل‬

‫يم‬ ْ ‫الْ ْفٱخرجْْ ِمن َهْاْف ِإن‬ ْ ‫ق‬٣٣ْ‫ون‬ ْ ‫لْ ِمنْْ َح َمْإْمسن‬ ْۢ ‫ِسْخلقتهْْۥْ ِمنْ َصل َصـ‬ ْ ‫ْأ كنْْلسج ْدْ ِلب‬
َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ٰٓ ّ ََ ِ َ َ َ ِ َ َ َ َّ َ َ َ َ
َ‫ن‬
ْ ‫كْ ِم‬ْ ‫الْف ِإن‬ ْ ‫ق‬٣٦ْ‫ون‬ ْ ‫نْ ِإلْْيو ِ ْمْيبعث‬ ْ ِ ‫نظر‬ِ ‫بْفأ‬
ْ ‫الْر‬ْ ‫ق‬٣٥ْْ‫لْ َيو ِ ْمْْٱلدين‬ ْ ‫كْْٱللعن ْةْ ِإ‬
ْ ‫و ِإنْْعلي‬٣٤ْ
َ ّ َ ّ َّ ِ َ َ ّ َ َ َ ٓ َ ِ َ َ َ ُ َْ َ ْ َ َ َ َ ْ
ْ‫فْٱْلرض‬ ْ ِ ْْ‫يْلهم‬ْ ‫نْْلزي‬ ْ ِ ‫الْربْْ ِبمْاْأغويت‬ ْ ‫ق‬٣٨ْ‫وم‬ ْ ِ ‫تْْٱلمعل‬ ْ ِ ‫لْيو ِ ْمْْٱلوق‬ ْ ‫ ِإ‬٣٧ْ‫ين‬ ْ ‫ْْٱلمنظر‬
َ َ َ ِ ْ‫الْ َهـ َذْا‬ َ َ ْ َ َ َ َ
ْ‫لْمست ِقيم‬ ْ ‫صطْْ َع‬ َْ ‫ق‬٤٠ْ‫ي‬ َّْ ‫كْ ِمنهمْْْٱلمخل ِص‬ ْ ‫لْ ِع َباد‬ ْ ‫ ِإ‬٣٩ْ‫ي‬َّْ ‫ْ َوْلغو َينهمْْأج َم ِع‬
َ َ َ َ َ َْ َ َ ََ َْ َ َ َ َ َ
ْ‫مْل َمو ِعدهم‬ ْ ‫و ِإنْْجهن‬٤٢ْ‫ين‬ َْ ‫نْْٱلغاو‬ ْ ‫كْ ِم‬ ْ ‫كْ َعلي ِهمْْسلطـنْْ ِإ‬
ْ ‫لْ َمنْْْٱتبع‬ ْ ‫سْل‬ ْ ‫ ِإنْْ ِع َب ِادىْلي‬٤١ْ
َّ ‫أج َمع‬ َ
٤٣ْْ‫ي‬ ِ
SurahْHijr:
ْIndeed,ْWeْcreatedْmanْfromْsoundingْclayْmouldedْfromْblackْmud.ْ
Asْforْtheْjinn,ْWeْcreatedْthemْearlierْfromْsmokelessْfire.ْ
˹Remember,ْOْ Prophet˺ْwhenْyourْLordْsaidْtoْtheْangels,ْ“Iْamْgoingْ
toْcreateْaْhumanْbeingْfromْsoundingْclayْmouldedْfromْblackْmud.ْ
SoْwhenْIْhaveْfashionedْhimْandْhadْmyْROOHْbreathedْintoْhim,ْfallْ
downْinْprostrationْtoْhim.”ْSoْtheْangelsْprostratedْallْtogetherْbutْ
notْIblîs,1 whoْrefusedْtoْprostrateْwithْtheْothers.ْAllahْasked,ْ“Oْ
Iblîs!ْWhatْisْtheْmatterْwithْyouْthatْyouْdidْnotْjoinْothersْinْ
prostration?”.ْHeْreplied,ْ“ItْisْnotْforْmeْtoْprostrateْtoْaْhumanْYouْ
createdْfromْsoundingْclayْmouldedْfromْblackْmud.ْAllahْ
commanded,ْ“ThenْgetْoutْofْParadise,ْforْyouْareْtrulyْcursed.ْAndْ
surelyْuponْyouْisْcondemnationْuntilْtheْDayْofْJudgment.”ْSatanْ
appealed,ْ“MyْLord!ْThenْdelayْmyْendْuntilْtheْDayْofْtheirْ
resurrection.”ْAllahْsaid,ْ“YouْwillْbeْdelayedْuntilْtheْappointedْDay.”ْ
Satanْresponded,ْ“MyْLord!ْForْallowingْmeْtoْstrayْIْwillْsurelyْtemptْ
themْonْearthْandْmisleadْthemْallْtogether,ْexceptْYourْchosenْ
servantsْamongْthem.”ْAllahْsaid,ْ“ThisْisْtheْWay,ْbindingْonْMe:ْyouْ
willْcertainlyْhaveْnoْauthorityْoverْMyْservants,ْexceptْtheْdeviantْ
whoْfollowْyou,ْandْsurelyْHellْisْtheirْdestinedْplace,ْallْtogether.

َ َ ٰٓ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ َ ََ َ َ ٰٓ َ ٓ َ َ َ َ َ
ْ ‫ َو ِإ ْذْقلنْاْ ِلل َملـ ِئك ِْةْْٱسجد‬١١٥ْ‫سْ َولمْْن ِج ْدْلهْْۥْ َعزمْا‬
ْ‫واْ ِل َٔـاد َم‬ ْ ِ ‫لْ َءاد َمْْ ِمنْقبلْْفن‬
ْ ‫ْولق ْدْعهدنْاْإ‬
َ ْ َ َُ َ ََ َ َ َ َ َّ َ َ َ َ َٔ ٰٓ َ َ ْ َ َ َ َ ِ ٰٓ ِ ٰٓ َ َ َ
‫نْْٱلجن ِْة‬ ْ ‫لْيخرجنكمْاْ ِم‬ ْ ‫كْف‬ ْ ‫كْو ِلزو ِج‬ ْ ‫فقلنْاْيــادمْْ ِإنْْهـذْاْعد ْوْل‬١١٦ْ‫ن‬ ْ ‫يسْأ‬ ْ ‫َلْ ِإب ِل‬
ْ ‫ْفسجدوْاْ ِإ‬
 َ ‫ َف َوس َو‬١١٩ْ‫ح‬ َ ََ َ ْ َ َ َ ََ َ ََ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ََ
ْ‫س‬ ْ َ ‫لْتض‬ ْ ‫لْتظ َمؤْاْ ِفيهْاْو‬ ْ ْ‫ك‬ ْ ‫وأن‬١١٨ْْ‫لْتع َرى‬ ْ ‫وعْ ِفيهْاْو‬ْ ‫لْتج‬ ْ ‫كْأ‬ ْ ‫ ِإنْْل‬١١٧ْ‫ق‬ ْٰٓ ‫ْفتش‬
َ‫لْمنها‬ ََََ َ َ ۢ ْ َ ْ ْ َ َ َ َ َ َ ُّ َ َ َ َٔ ٰٓ َ َ َ َ َ
ِ ْ ‫فأ ك‬١٢٠ْ‫ل‬ ْ ‫لْيب‬ ْ ْ‫ك‬ ْ ‫لْشجرِْةْْٱلخل ِْدْومل‬ ْ ‫كْع‬ ْ ‫الْيــادمْْهلْْأدل‬ ْ ‫ْ ِإلي ِْهْْٱلشيطـنْْق‬
ََ َ ٰٓ َ َ َ ْ ََ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ
ْ‫صْ َءادمْْ َربهْْۥْفغ َوى‬ ْ ‫قْْٱل َجن ِْةْْۚوع‬ ْ ِ ‫ْف َبدتْْله َمْاْ َسو َء ته َمْاْ َوط ِفقْاْ َيخ ِصف ِانْْ َعلي ِه َمْاْ ِمنْور‬
ُ ۢ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ُّ َ َ َ
ْ‫الْْٱه ِبطْاْ ِمن َهْاْ َج ِميعْاْْۖ َبعضكمْْ ِل َبعضْْ َعدو‬ َْ ‫ق‬١٢٢ْْ‫ابْ َعلي ِْهْ َوهدى‬ ْ ‫ثمْْْٱجتبـهْْربهْْۥْفت‬١٢١ْْۖ
ْ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ُ ْ َ
ْ‫ضْعنْ ِذكرى‬ َْ ‫ َو َمنْْأع َر‬١٢٣ْ‫ق‬ ْ ‫لْيش‬ ْ ‫لْ َو‬ُّْ ‫لْ َي ِض‬ ْ ‫اىْف‬ َْ ‫عْهد‬ َْ ‫نْهدىْف َمنْْْٱت َب‬ ْ ِّ ‫ْف ِإمْاْ َيأ ِت َينكمْ ِم‬
ُ َ َ َ َ ٰٓ ّ َ َ َ َ ِ َ َ َ َ َ َ ْ َ َ َ ً َ َ َ َ
ْ‫مْوق ْدْكنت‬ ْ ‫نْأع‬ ْ ِ ‫مْحِست‬ ْ ‫بْ ِل‬
ْ ‫الْر‬ ْ ‫ق‬١٢٤ْْ‫ْف ِإنْْلهْْۥْ َم ِعيشةْْضنكْاْ َونحِسهْْۥْيو ْمْْٱل ِقيـم ِْةْأعم‬
َ
ْ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ََ َ َ َ َ َ
١٢٦ْ‫نس‬ ْ َ ‫كْْٱل َيو َْمْت‬ ْ ‫كْءايـتنْاْفن ِسيتهْاْْۖوكذ ِل‬ ْ ‫كْأتت‬ ْ ‫الْكذ ِل‬ ْ ‫ق‬١٢٥ْ‫َب ِصبْا‬
SurahْTaha:

Andْindeed,ْWeْonceْmadeْaْcovenantْwithْAdam,ْbutْheْforgot,ْandْ
˹so˺ْWeْdidْnotْfindْdeterminationْinْhim.ْAndْ˹remember˺ْwhenْWeْ
saidْtoْtheْangels,ْ“ProstrateْbeforeْAdam,”ْsoْtheyْallْdid—butْnotْ
Iblîs,1 whoْrefusedْ˹arrogantly˺.ْSoْWeْcautioned,ْ“OْAdam!ْThisْisْ
surelyْanْenemyْtoْyouْandْtoْyourْwife.ْSoْdoْnotْletْhimْdriveْyouْ
bothْoutْofْParadise,ْforْyouْ˹OْAdam˺ْwouldْthenْsufferْ˹hardship˺.ْ
Hereْitْisْguaranteedْthatْyouْwillْneverْgoْhungryْorْunclothed,ْnorْ
willْyouْ˹ever˺ْsufferْfromْthirstْorْ˹theْsun’s˺ْheat.”1 ButْSatanْ
whisperedْtoْhim,ْsaying,ْ“OْAdam!ْShallْIْshowْyouْtheْTreeْofْ
Immortalityْandْaْkingdomْthatْdoesْnotْfadeْaway?”ْSoْtheyْbothْateْ
fromْtheْtreeْandْthenْtheirْnakednessْwasْexposedْtoْthem,ْ
promptingْthemْtoْcoverْthemselvesْwithْleavesْfromْParadise.ْSoْ
AdamْdisobeyedْhisْLord,ْandْ˹so˺ْlostْhisْway.1ThenْhisْLordْchoseْhimْ
˹forْHisْgrace˺,ْacceptedْhisْrepentance,ْandْguidedْhimْ˹rightly˺.ْAllahْ
said,ْ“Descend,ْbothْofْyou,ْfromْhereْtogetherْ˹withْSatan˺ْasْ
enemiesْtoْeachْother.ْThenْwhenْguidanceْcomesْtoْyouْfromْMe,ْ
whoeverْfollowsْMyْguidanceْwillْneitherْgoْastrayْ˹inْthisْlife˺ْnorْ
sufferْ˹inْtheْnext˺.ْButْwhoeverْturnsْawayْfromْMyْReminderْwillْ
certainlyْhaveْaْmiserableْlife,1 thenْWeْwillْraiseْthemْupْblindْonْtheْ
DayْofْJudgment.”ْTheyْwillْcry,ْ“MyْLord!ْWhyْhaveْyouْraisedْmeْupْ
blind,ْalthoughْIْusedْtoْsee?”ْAllahْwillْrespond,ْ“Itْisْso,ْjustْasْOurْ
revelationsْcameْtoْyouْandْyouْneglectedْthem,ْsoْTodayْyouْareْ
neglected”.

ِ َ ‫ْْعنْْ َْأمر‬
ْ‫ْْرب ِه ْٰٓۦ‬
َ ِ ْ َ َ َ َ
َ ‫ْْف َف َس َق‬
‫نْ ۢٱْل ِجن‬
ْ ‫ْْم‬
ٰٓ ٰٓ َ َ َ َ َ َٔ َ ٰٓ َ ْ َ ْ َ
‫ْْلل َملـ ِئك ِةْْٱْسجدوا‬
ِ ‫يسْْكان‬
ْ ‫ْْإب ِل‬
ِ ‫ْْإَل‬
ِ ‫ْْلـاد ْمْْفسجدوا‬
َ ِ َ ِ ‫ْْو ِإذْْقلنا‬
َ َ َّ َّ َ َ ُ َ ٓ
َ ّ ‫ْْوذ ِري َته ْٰٓۥْْأول َيا َءْْمنْد‬ َ َ
َ ‫أف َتتخذونهْۥ‬
٥٠ْْ‫ْْللظـ ِل ِميْْبدل‬ ِ ‫ونْْوهمْْلكمْْعد ْوْ ِْۚبئس‬ ِ ِ ِ ِ
SurahْKahf:
Andْ˹remember˺ْwhenْWeْsaidْtoْtheْangels,ْ“ProstrateْbeforeْAdam,”ْ
soْtheyْallْdid—butْnotْIblîs,1 whoْwasْoneْofْtheْjinn,ْbutْheْrebelledْ
againstْtheْcommandْofْhisْLord.ْWouldْyouْthenْtakeْhimْandْhisْ
descendantsْasْpatronsْinsteadْofْMe,ْalthoughْtheyْareْyourْenemy?ْ
Whatْanْevilْalternativeْforْtheْwrongdoersْ˹toْchoose˺!

َ ِّ َ َ َ َ ٰٓ َّ َ ُّ َ ْ َ َ َ َ َ ََ َ َ َ َ َْ َ
ْ‫ْْوٱْلش َج َرة‬
َْ ‫لْ ِْفتنةْْللناس‬ ْ ‫نْْأ َرينـ‬
ْ ‫كْ ِْإ‬ ‫ْل‬
‫ٱ‬ ْْ ‫ا‬ ‫ي‬ ‫ء‬ ‫ْلر‬ ‫ٱ‬ ْْ
‫ا‬ ‫ن‬ ‫ل‬ ‫ع‬‫ْْج‬
‫ا‬ ‫م‬ ‫ْۚو‬ ْ ‫اس‬
ْ ‫ْٱلن‬ ‫ْْب‬
‫اط‬ ‫ح‬‫ْْأ‬‫ك‬ ‫ب‬
‫ْْر‬ ‫ن‬ ‫ْإ‬
ِْ ‫ْْو ِإ ْذْْقل َن َاْْل‬
ْْ
‫ك‬
َ ٰٓ َ َ ْ َ ْ َ َِ َ َ ََ ِ َ
ِ َ َ ّ ‫ْٱْل َملعونة‬
ْ‫ْْللملـ ِئك ِةْْٱْسجدوا‬ ِ ‫و ِإذْْقلنا‬٦٠ْْ‫لْْطغيـنْاْْك ِببا‬ ْ ‫ْْإ‬ ِ ‫انْْۚونخوفهمْْْفماْْيزيدهم‬ ْ ِ ‫ْْفْْٱْلقرء‬ ِ
َ َ َّ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ََ َ َ َ ٰٓ ٰٓ َ َ َ َ َ َٔ
ْ ‫قالْْأرءيتكْْهـذاْْٱْل ِذىْْكرم‬٦١ْْ‫ْْطينا‬
‫ت‬ ِ ‫ْْلمنْْخلقت‬ ِ ‫الْْءأ َسَجد‬ ْ ‫ْْإب ِليسْْق‬ ِ ‫ْْإ ََل‬ِ ‫ِْلـ َاد ْم َْْفس َجد َوا‬
َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ْ َ ‫يْْأخرتنْْإل‬ َ
ْ‫ْْمنهم‬ َ
ِ ‫قالْْٱذهبْْفم َنْت ِبعك‬٦٢ْْ‫ْْإلْْق ِليل‬ ِ ‫ْْيو ِ ْمْٱْل ِق َيـ َم ِةْْْلحت ِنكنْْذ ِريته ْٰٓۥ‬ ِ ّْ ِ ‫ْعلْْل‬
ََ
‫ْْعلي ِهم‬ ‫كْ َْوأج ِلب‬
َ
ْ ‫مْب َصو ِت‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ن‬ ‫ْْم‬
َ ََ
‫ت‬‫ع‬ ‫ط‬ ‫ت‬ ‫ْٱس‬ ْ ‫ن‬
ْ ‫ْْم‬ َ ‫وٱْس َتفزز‬٦٣ْْ
ْ َ ‫ْج َ ٓزاءْْموفورا‬ َ ْْ‫ْْج َ ٓزاؤ ُكم‬ َ ‫ْج َهن َم‬ َ ْْ‫َْفإن‬
ِ
ًْ‫لْْغرورا‬ َ
ِ
َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ّ ْ َ َ َ ََ َ َ ِ
ْ ‫ْْإ‬
ِ ‫ْْفْْٱْلمو ِلْْو َْٱْلولـ ِ َدْْو ِع َدهمْْْۚوم ْاْْي ِعدهمْ َْ َٱْلشيطـن‬ ِ ‫ِْبخي ِلكْْور ِج ِلكْْوشاركهم‬
َ
َ ‫كْْعليهمْْسلطـنْْ َْۚوك ّقْْب َر ِبك‬ َ َ َ َ َ ‫إن‬٦٤
٦٥ْْ‫ْْو ِكيل‬ ِ ِ ْ ‫ْْعب ِادىْليسْْل‬ ِ ِ
SurahْAlْIsra:
Andْ˹remember,ْOْ Prophet˺ْwhenْWeْtoldْyou,ْ“CertainlyْyourْLordْ
encompassesْtheْpeople.”ْAndْWeْhaveْmadeْwhatْWeْbroughtْyouْtoْ
see1 asْwellْasْtheْcursedْtreeْ˹mentioned˺ْinْtheْQuran2 onlyْasْaْtestْ
forْtheْpeople.ْWeْkeepْwarningْthem,ْbutْitْonlyْincreasesْthemْ
greatlyْinْdefiance.ْAndْ˹remember˺ْwhenْWeْsaidْtoْtheْangels,ْ
“ProstrateْbeforeْAdam,”ْsoْtheyْallْdid—butْnotْIblîs,1 whoْprotested,ْ
“ShouldْIْprostrateْtoْtheْoneْYouْhaveْcreatedْfromْmud?”.ْAdding,ْ
“Doْyouْseeْthisْoneْyouْhonouredْaboveْme?ْIfْyouْdelayْmyْendْuntilْ
theْDayْofْJudgment,ْIْwillْcertainlyْtakeْholdْofْhisْdescendants,ْ
exceptْforْaْfew.”ْAllahْresponded,ْ“Beْgone!ْWhoeverْofْthemْfollowsْ
you,ْHellْwillْsurelyْbeْtheْrewardْforْallْofْyou—anْampleْreward.ْAndْ
inciteْwhoeverْyouْcanْofْthemْwithْyourْvoice,ْmobilizeْagainstْthemْ
allْyourْcavalryْandْinfantry,ْmanipulateْthemْinْtheirْwealthْandْ
children,ْandْmakeْthemْpromises.”ْButْSatanْpromisesْthemْnothingْ
butْdelusion.ْ˹Allahْadded,˺ْ“YouْwillْtrulyْhaveْnoْauthorityْoverْMyْ
˹faithful˺ْservants.”ْAndْsufficientْisْyourْLordْasْaْGuardian.

َ َ َ ٓ َ ٰٓ َ ٰٓ َ َ َ َ َ ََْ ْ َ َ
‫ ِإ ْذ‬٧٠ْ‫ي‬ ّْ ‫يرْ ُّم ِب‬ ْ ‫َلْأن َمْاْأنْاْن ِذ‬ ْ ‫لْ ِإ‬ْ ‫وحْ ِإ‬ْ ‫ ِإنْي‬٦٩ْ‫ون‬ ْ ‫لْ ِإ ْذْ َيخت ِصم‬ ْٰٓ ‫لْْٱْلع‬ ِْ ‫لْ ِمنْْ ِعلمِْْْبٱلم‬ ْ ‫ْ َمْاْك‬
َْ ِ ْ‫ان‬
َ ََ ََ َ َ َ ۢ َ ِّ َ ٰٓ َ َ ْ َ ُّ َ َ َ
‫واْلهْۥ‬ ْ ‫وحْفقع‬ ْ ِ ‫يهْ ِمنْْ ُّر‬ ِْ ‫ف ِإذْاْ َسويتهْْۥْ َونفختْْ ِف‬٧١ْ‫ي‬ ّْۢ ‫ِساْ ِمنْ ِط‬ ْ ‫قْ َب‬ ْ ‫نْخـ ِل‬ ْ ‫كْ ِللملـ ِئك ِْةْإ‬ ْ ‫الْرب‬ ْ ‫ْق‬
َ‫ين‬ َ ْ َ َ َ َ ََْ َ َ ٰٓ َ َ َ ُّ ُ َ ٰٓ َ َ ْ َ َ َ َ ِ َ َ
ْ ‫نْْٱلكـ ِفر‬ ْ ‫انْ ِم‬
ْ ‫بْوك‬ ْ ‫يسْْٱستك‬ ْ ‫َلْ ِإب ِل‬ ْ ‫إ‬٧٣ْ‫ون‬ ْ ‫فسج ْدْْٱلملـ ِئكةْْكلهمْْأجمع‬٧٢ْ‫ين‬ ْ ‫ْسـ ِج ِد‬
َ ْ َ ُ َ َ َْ َ َِ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ٰٓ َ َ
َ‫ال‬
ْ ‫ق‬٧٥ْْ‫ي‬ َ َ
ّ ‫نْْٱلع ِال‬ َ
ْ ‫تْأمْْكنتْْ ِم‬ ْ ‫كْأنْتسج ْدْ ِل َمْاْخلقتْْ ِب َيدىْْْۖأستكب‬ ْ ‫الْ َيـ ِإب ِليسْْ َمْاْمنع‬
َ َ ْ ‫ق‬٧٤ْ
َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ
ْ‫ َو ِإن‬٧٧ْْ‫كْ َر ِجيم‬ ْ ‫الْ ْفٱْخرجْْ ِمنهْاْف ِإن‬ َْ ‫ق‬٧٦ْ‫ي‬ ّْۢ ‫ارْ َوخلقتهْْۥْ ِمنْْ ِط‬ ْۢ ‫بْ ِمنهْْْۖخلقت ِ ّنْْ ِمنْن‬ ْ ‫ْأنْاْخ‬
َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ٰٓ ّ ََ ِ َ َ َ ِ َ ٰٓ َ َ َ َ َ
َ‫ن‬

‫ي‬ ْ ‫نكْ َو ِممنْت ِب َع‬ ْ ‫مْ ِم‬ َْ ‫ْلمَلنْْ َج َهن‬٨٤ْْ‫قْ َْوْٱل َحقْْأقول‬ ْ ‫الْ ْفٱلح‬ ْ ‫ق‬٨٣ْ‫ي‬ َّْ ‫ْْٱلمخل ِص‬

SurahْSAAD:
˹Andْsay,˺ْ“Iْhadْnoْknowledgeْofْtheْhighestْassemblyْ˹inْheaven˺ْ
whenْtheyْdifferedْ˹concerningْAdam˺.1WhatْisْrevealedْtoْmeْisْthatْIْ
amْonlyْsentْwithْaْclearْwarning.”ْ˹Remember,ْOْ Prophet˺ْwhenْyourْ
Lordْsaidْtoْtheْangels,ْ“Iْamْgoingْtoْcreateْaْhumanْbeingْfromْclay.ْ
SoْwhenْIْhaveْfashionedْhimْandْhadْmyْROOHْbreathedْintoْhim,ْfallْ
downْinْprostrationْtoْhim.”ْSoْtheْangelsْprostratedْallْtogetherْbutْ
notْIblîs,1 whoْactedْarrogantly,2 becomingْunfaithful.ْAllahْasked,ْ“Oْ
Iblîs!ْWhatْpreventedْyouْfromْprostratingْtoْwhatْIْcreatedْwithْMyْ
OwnْHands?ْDidْyouْ˹just˺ْbecomeْproud?ْOrْhaveْyouْalwaysْbeenْ
arrogant?”.ْHeْreplied,ْ“Iْamْbetterْthanْheْis:ْYouْcreatedْmeْfromْfireْ
andْhimْfromْclay.”ْAllahْcommanded,ْ“ThenْgetْoutْofْParadise,ْforْ
youْareْtrulyْcursed.ْAndْsurelyْuponْyouْisْMyْcondemnationْuntilْtheْ
DayْofْJudgment.”ْSatanْappealed,ْ“MyْLord!ْThenْdelayْmyْendْuntilْ
theْDayْofْtheirْresurrection.”ْAllahْsaid,ْ“Youْwillْbeْdelayedْuntilْtheْ
appointedْDay.”ْSatanْsaid,ْ“ByْYourْGlory!ْIْwillْcertainlyْmisleadْthemْ
all,ْexceptْYourْchosenْservantsْamongْthem.”ْAllahْconcluded,ْ“Theْ
truthْis—andْIْ˹only˺ْsayْtheْtruth—:IْwillْsurelyْfillْupْHellْwithْyouْ
andْwhoeverْfollowsْyouْfromْamongْthem,ْallْtogether.”
