FIELD STUDY 2

Name of FS Student Cristine Jane R. Caasi

Course, Year, and Section IV-BSE English B

Name of FS Mentor Dr. Katherine Queroda

Date October 6, 2023

At the end of this activity, the FS student must be able to achieve the following intended learning outcomes:
1. identify practical and feasible classroom routines and procedures in learning;
2. evaluate appropriate educational intervention in creating safe and conducive learning; and
3. acquire higher concept of learning strategies in establishing own procedures;

The learning environment is another important component aside from the curriculum in the teaching-learning
process. This activity exposes you to another learning experience, which enables you to make your learning environment
safe and conducive. As you immerse in the learning environment, you will learn the different methods and strategies to
maximize the involvement of learners in the different classroom activities.

Direction: Read the following instructions below before doing the indicated tasks.

1. Interview a professional teacher from any school who is teaching in any grade level.
2. Follow the minimum health protocol at all times.
3. Observe etiquette during the interview process.

Questions:

1. What classroom routines and procedures did you observe and how could you apply it to promote
essential learning?

Essential learning happens when there is an easy, peaceful, and lightweight environment
for everyone that will not cause any trouble; it must benefit all the participants in the teaching-
learning process. In the conduct of observation, the noticeable routines reflected were: the undying
warm greeting of the teacher to her students; the guidance of the Lord in a short meaningful prayer;
the organized checking of attendance; the review of the lesson; and setting up the PowerPoint
presentation needed during the discussions. For instance, the following routines can bring essential
learning through ease at the preliminary activities at the beginning of the lesson, peace as it gives
organization among the actions needed to be taken, and a lightweight environment as it offers
assigned roles and responsibilities among the learners.

Through constant delivery and shared tasks among the students, I believe I can apply
these to promote essential learning for the students. Constant, that is always, meaning there must
always be present living routines applied to set the learner's mind and atmosphere in discovering
each day's discussion and activities. Furthermore, it must not only rely on one-to-two students but
also all of the class to know their assigned tasks to smoothly proceed with each part of the lesson.

Lastly, it is important to build and employ these routines and procedures for the students to
help them become more disciplined individuals who can behave accordingly.

2. What is the effect to the learners if the teacher creates a safe and conducive learning environment?

A safe and supportive learning environment may have an impact on classroom learners, such as
collaborative and active learners. This is because a learning environment may surely influence a learner's
way of thinking as well as their talents and abilities. As a result, if the instructor develops a secure and
conducive learning atmosphere, every student has no fear of expressing themselves, is capable of thinking
critically without being concerned about his or her environment, and has immense respect for one another.
Making these possibilities available in the classroom may encourage students to be active learners who can
participate in a variety of activities, resulting in a more interactive full class. Finally, these impacts may
positively contribute to students' performance levels during activities and discussions, as they may acquire
assurance that everyone in the room exhibits traits of safety and conduciveness.

FIELD STUDY 2

• As a would be teacher, how can you make the environment safe and conducive to learners?

I believe that students must be made aware of all of the rules and regulations in our classroom. "The
kind of conducive learning environment I want for my future classroom has to start with the people who learn
within it; after that, it can be reflected in the environment in which we learn together." Students should maintain
an open connection with one another in order to maintain a positive environment. Furthermore, "cleanliness must
be observed" in terms of the physical setting in the room, and it becomes one of my primary responsibilities to
help make sure that our classroom is well-ventilated and organized. Keeping both of these concepts in mind will
be one of my key standards for building an ideal learning environment for both myself and my students.

As I envision the ideal setting for learning for my future classroom, I am convinced that it begins with the
individuals who share that space—the students. They are active participants in the learning process rather than
passive recipients of knowledge. We set the foundation for a more engaged and collaborative learning
experience by establishing in them a sense of discipline and shared responsibility for the classroom
environment.

The notion of "open connection" among students is vital in creating a suitable learning environment.
Learning is about more than simply obtaining information; it is also about personal growth and development. It
encourages inclusion, empathy, and a sense of belonging when students maintain an open relationship with one
another. It becomes simpler to discuss ideas, ask questions, and seek assistance as necessary. As a result,
everyone feels appreciated and respected, contributing to a good, supportive, and enriching environment.

Furthermore, the word "cleanliness must be observed" refers to more than just tidiness. It expresses the
notion that a well-organized and clean physical environment is necessary for optimal learning. Clutter and
disorder can be distracting and make it difficult to concentrate. It is one of my key obligations as an educator to
ensure that the classroom atmosphere is not just clean but also well-ventilated. Proper ventilation is critical for
preserving air quality, which has a direct influence on students' health and concentration.

By keeping these two key ideas in mind—awareness of rules and regulations, as well as the necessity
of cleanliness and ventilation—I want to create and maintain a suitable learning atmosphere for both myself and
my pupils. It is a dedication to creating an environment in which learning is not limited by the physical
shared boundaries of the classroom but is enhanced by shared values such as responsibility, connection, and
well-being. This comprehensive approach to education aims to empower students not only intellectually, but also
as persons who positively contribute to their communities and the globe.
