Dialog:
Zaky : good morning maam
Aisyah : good morning, sit down please
Zaky : thank you
Aisyah : Have you been waiting in the waiting room for a long time?
Zaky : long enough but I have friends to chat with
Aisyah : okay, you’re having an interview now, are you ready?
Zaky : yes im ready
Aisyah : First let me introduce myself, my name is Aisyah Bilqis as your interviewer. What’s
your name and tell me a bit about yourself
Zaky : my name is Zaky Nafis Saputra, I am 25 years old, I have been working as a translator
since I was in college and became the best graduate in my college.
Aisyah : Whats your hobby?
Zaky : my hobby is watching movies
Aisyah : What’s your favorite movie?
Zaky : My favorite movie is The Wolf of Wall Street
Aisyah : Isn’t Leonardo Dicaprio the main character in the movie?
Zaky : Yes, he’s my favorite actor of all time
Aisyah : Alright, what do you usually do in your daily life
Zaky : Since I left the company where I worked before, I do my daily activities like a normal
person, every day I wake up at 4am to pray, make my own breakfast, exercise, read books,
and do other activities as usual.
Aisyah : What attracts you to the role of translator?
Zaky : First, I am interested in English, and second, I like to help people understand English.
Aisyah : What would you say is your biggest weakness?
Zaky : My weakness is not being able to manage my time efficiently.
Aisyah : Do you find it easier to translate written or spoken language?
Zaky : I prefer written
Aisyah : What’s your native language, and how is your fluency with English language?
Zaky : I speak Bahasa Indonesia, I can understand English words and writings.
Aisyah : What makes it easier for you to translate?
Zaky : the person’s easy-to-understand words and accent
Aisyah : What aspect or type of translation do you find most difficult?
Zaky : too heavy words and certain accents
Aisyah : What is the biggest lesson you learned in this job?
Zaky : be a careful and patient listener
Aisyah : When did your interest in translation first begin?
Zaky : since I was a child and saw a translator scene in a movie.
Aisyah : What made you choose our job vacancy?
Zaky : because this job vacancy suits my role
Aisyah : Give an example of overcoming a difficulty at work.
Zaky : stay positive and relax my head as much as possible to make work easy
Aisyah : How much salary do you expect for this position?
Zaky : I expect a salary that is in accordance with my qualifications and the quality of my
work, I want a salary that is in accordance with what is stated on the website
Aisyah : well, maybe this is the end of our interview, for the next news we will contact you
via the email listed on your CV.
Zaky : thank you maam, im permission to say goodbye, have a good day maam
Aisyah : thanks, you too
