Swallow tablet whole with one full glass of water.
Never take a double dose if you missed one medication. If you
missed one, take medication immediately.
Monitor CBC with differential, serum electrolytes.
Monitor for stomatitis. Monitor for hematologic toxicity (fever,
sore throat,
signs of local infection,
Increase fluid intake (may protect againsthyperuricemia).
Maintain strict oral hygiene.
Hair loss is reversible, but
new hair growth may have different color,

Avoid crowds, those with infections.
Report fever, shortness of breath, cough, sore throat, bleeding,

Monitor B/P, pulse, mental status.
Monitor daily pattern of bowel activity, stool con sistency.
If cloNIDine is to be withdrawn, discontinue concurrent beta-
blocker therapy several days before discontinuing clonidine
(prevents cloNIDine withdrawal hypertensive crisis). Slowly
reduce cloNIDine dosage over 2–4 days
