Task 3: Write a passage (180 words) to compare between life in urban areas and rural
areas. (75 pts)

Life in urban areas and rural areas can be vastly different in several aspects. Firstly, urban
areas are characterized by their high population density and fast-paced lifestyle, while rural
areas are known for their smaller populations and slower pace of life. The availability of
amenities and services is also significantly different between the two. Urban areas offer a
wide range of facilities such as shopping malls, restaurants, and entertainment venues, while
rural areas typically have fewer options and rely more on local businesses. Additionally,
transportation systems in urban areas are more developed, with extensive networks of public
transportation, whereas rural areas often have limited public transportation options and rely

more on personal vehicles. Another significant difference lies in the natural environment.
Rural areas are usually surrounded by nature, with open spaces, green landscapes, and a

diversity, and a vibrant lifestyle, rural areas provide a sense of tranquility, community, and a
closer connection to nature.
