My problem is that grade 10 students struggle with learning, understanding, and memorizing the
new biology lessons that we are taking. I wanted to create a solution that helps the students
memorize and understand the lesson, but at the same time in an amusing way. Which is why I
decided to create a board game! The design I created is amusing and educational, it will make the
students compete with each other which will make them memorize the information eventually
without even realizing it.
The design I chose had the highest ranking compared with the other two. It scored 47.5 whereas
the others scored 42 and 37.5. I myself favored this design out of them all and so did my
audience when they rated my designs.
Ergonomics, safety, cost, target market, efficiency, materials, size, environmental considerations,
and function are all met by all of the designs. This is how to demonstrate that these signs are just
what I need to make in accordance with my design brief and requirements. The only one that did
not meet the design specifications 100% is the aesthetics because I said that the dominant colors
would be blue, green, and orange, when the actual main color was just green and the other colors
were less dominant.
Strand (iv) Develop Planning Drawing/Diagram
The base will be made of cardboard. I will be using sticky notes for the questions and then
writing the answers underneath them. For the drawings, the title, and the outline I will use
permanent colorful markers. As in for the questions, instead of writing them down, I will
print them with black ink so that it’ll be clearer than writing them down with small
handwriting with a pencil. I will be using a pencil to write the rules so that everything can
fit easily without the marker being too thick or too dark. Regarding the dice and tokens, I
will simply buy them from a store so that the board game will finally be complete. I already
have all of the materials needed like the cardboard, permanent color markers, ruler, board
cutter, printer/ink, tokens, and dice.
