450 g Dates. Stoned and finely chopped
15 g Chillie powder
450 g Sugar
40 g Ground garlic
200 ml Vinegar
1 tsp Powdered spices (cloves, cardamoms,cinnamon)
115 g Sultanas
2 tsp Salt
20 g Ground ginger
2 tsp Ground Mustard
Method
Dissolve over low heat sugar with vinegar.
• Add all ingredients except sultanas and salt, cook on low heat until syrup is thick, but
dates not pulpy.
• Just before removing from fire add sultanas and lastly add the salt.
