Answer ALL of the following questions.

QUESTION 1 ( 50 MARKS )
Organizational behavior is a field of study that examines the actions and attitudes of
individuals and groups within an organization. Various approaches and theories
have been developed to understand and explain organizational behavior such as
Human Resources Approach, Productivity Approach, Interdisciplinary Approach,
Systems Approach, and Contingency Approach. Examine the relevance of these
approaches in the contemporary business landscape. [C3, CLO1, PLO1]

QUESTION 2 ( 50 MARKS )
Moods and emotions shape how we feel and act, playing a crucial role in our daily
lives. Mood and emotion are complex psychological phenomena influenced by
various contributing factors. Figure out FIVE (5) sources of emotions and moods.

Rubric for Answer:

Criteria/Marks Answers, examples, and explanations are given. Professionalism,


ethics, and behaviour.
50 – 41 Marks Delivers all correct answers with excellence in points, explanations, and
examples. Demonstrates strong work ethics. Exhibits a high level of
professionalism and excels in following instructions.

Minor correction. While points and explanations are acceptable, there is


40 – 31 Marks room for improvement in examples. The work displays originality, and
proper references, and adheres to good ethics, following instructions
effectively.

30 – 21 Marks Several correct answers but explanations and examples could be


improved. Citations and references could be enhanced. Professionalism
is average, and there's room for better adherence to instructions.

20 – 11 Marks Provide a single correct answer, use bullet points instead of paragraphs,
sources limited, low level of professionalism, and note some sections
ignore the lecturer's instructions.

Incorrect answers without offering a rationale, explanation, or illustrative


0 – 10 Marks example. Demonstrates a lack of originality, resorting to copying and
pasting. Shows a deficiency in ethics/professionalism and a failure to
heed the guidance provided by the lecturer.
