Their daily lives are characterized by sustainable practices, for instance organic farming, marine

ecosystem-friendly fishing methods and traditional medicine derived from indigenous plants. Indigenous

cultural traditions significantly influence their everyday life; those customs encompass various elements

such as language, art, music, dance and storytelling and they serve as both a means of preservation and

passing down knowledge of the past generation or two (ancestry) and a way of celebrating culture.

Indigenous ceremonies and rituals are often conducted during important events such as harvests seasons

how they are facing different challenges.


One important characteristic of indigenous daily life is a strong connection with the natural world. They

have a deep comprehension about nature and its belongings. As a result, they have come up with

sustainable ways of coexisting with the land in order to preserve it for future generations.

They live in close communities where there is mutual support among everyone and everyone works for

the benefit of others. This sense of community goes beyond blood ties to include whole tribes or clans.

Together, they celebrate traditions, tell stories and work together towards meeting community needs.

Furthermore, indigenous groups deeply value nature as well as their environment thus recognizing the
