1 PURPOSE
The purpose of this procedure is to ensure that the objectives and targets are identified at certain levels within Red Sea Global
(RSG) to support continuous enhancement of the environmental performance. To ensure management plans are prepared to
assist in the implementation and monitoring of agreed objectives.

2 SCOPE
This procedure is applicable to RSG Group and Subsidiary programs, including those of contractors and operators as applicable.

4 PROCESS DESCRIPTION
4.1 RSG Environmental Objectives and Targets
Top Management establishes environmental Objectives and Targets for the year to come according to the following
considerations:

• The organization’s compliance obligations, financial, operational, and business requirements.

• The organization’s significant environmental aspects and impacts.

• The organization’s technological options.

• The views of interested parties.

Final decision on the number of strategic Objectives and Targets set for each year is based on significant risk and opportunity
balanced with available resources.

4.2 Setting-up of Department / Projects Environment Objectives and Targets

Objectives and Targets are established at strategic, functional and operational levels as considered necessary. Although Top
Management may set strategic Objectives and Targets however each respective function / operation may set their own
Objectives and Targets to support the overall strategy.

All Objectives and Targets set shall be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and identified with time scales, (SMART) and
shall form the basis of the management plans at relevant levels.
Each Objective and Target agreed will be supported by a management plan that details key stages, roles and responsibilities,
required resources and milestones for implementation.

Clearly documented and communicated to staff and stakeholders.

Aligned with RSG Environmental Management System (EMS) policy and shall be a mechanism for delivering continual
improvement in environmental performance.

4.3 Monitoring, Evaluation and Review
Progress towards objectives and targets is monitored by means of assessing status against the management plan i.e. key
milestones have been met.

RSG Corporate Environment and Sustainability (CES) Department shall monitor and review the progress and achievement of
RSG-wide environmental objectives, targets and management plans. This is to ensure achievement, continuing relevance and
suitability.

Department Heads are to ensure that environmental objectives and targets are consistent with RSG EMS Policy; is measurable
and consistent with a goal of continual improvement. It shall be reviewed as deem necessary.

4.4 Communication
The approved Objectives and Targets are communicated fully throughout the organization and specifically to those who have a
responsibility for implementation in accordance with internal and external communications procedure.

Contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders need to be aware of RSG’s approved Objectives and Targets.
