Simple Present Tense

Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian yang berlangsung merupakan:
- Habitual action (kebiasaan)
- General truth (kebenaran umum)

Verbal :
S + V1(e/es) + o/c

Non Verbal
S + is/am/are + c

Adverb of time : every day, once, twice, three times, etc.

Adverb of frequency: always, often, usually, sometimes, seldom, never, etc.
e.g.: 1. The sun rises in the east.
(General truth) 2. Jack goes to campus. everyday (habit)

2. Present Continuous Tense

Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian yang sedang berlangsung pada masa
sekarang.

S + tobe( is/am/are) + Ving + o/c

Adverb of time: now, for the time being, at this time, at this moment
e.g. : The boys are listening to the music right now.

3. Present Perfect Tense

Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian yang sudah selesai pada waktu tertentu.
S + have/has + V3 + o/c
Biasanya diikuti oleh:
yet, already, just
e.g.: 1. I have already swept the floor.
2. She just moved to another city.
4. Present Perfect Continuous Tense.
Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian yang telah berlangsung sampai sekarang.

S + have/has + Been + Ving + o/c

Adverb of time: for three years, since yesterday, all these month, etc
e.g.: 1. It has been raining since last night.
2. They have been playing chess for an hour.
