1. About the Survey

By utilizing various schemes, JICA collaborates with

Japanese private sectors to conduct ODA more
efficiently and effectively.

3. Purpose of the Survey

① To grasp the current problems on Solid Waste

Management and Agriculture in Legazpi city and
Albay Province

② To verify effectiveness of the proposed product

• Composting organic materials with compost
equipment at Bicol University
• Analyzing the organic fertilizer and examining its
effectiveness

③ To study the feasibility of the project as ODA

• Role sharing for managing the product among
Legazpi city, Japanese private sector and JICA
• Considering the way of procuring secondary
materials and transporting fertilizer etc.

・Okadaʼs product (D600) has been installed at Bicol University.
→To transport actual garbage into the site and to try composting
→Analyzing the fertilizer to verify its effectiveness
