This method of work statement describes Steel structure erection work of roofing and cladding for steel
structure in granulation buildings to be done by SCIF in DAP project (Q3510) line 107DEF Zone Granulation
building in general, the proposed sequence of operations to be employed in the safe work erection of steel
structure frame building.

V.Roles and responsibilities:

Project Manager:

VI. METHODS AND PROCEDURE


a. Deliveries to Site

Fabricated steel members will deliver to site prior to commencement of erection and unload to lay
down area. Those will be laid out and clearly marked to suit the sequence of construction. Further
deliveries to site will be phased to meet the requirements of the erection sequence and schedule.
b. Loading and Unloading

Loading and unloading will be conducted by a fork lift and a 30T crane.

When the materials are loaded in the trailer, they will be supported by timber supports for each of

the materials to prevent materials to be damaged by touching each other.

When the materials are loaded on the trailer, their quantity will not exceed the capacity of the trailer.

When holding the materials while delivery to the work site, they will be held by sling belt so that the

materials won’t damage.

Unloaded roofing materials should be segregated properly according piece mark number for immediate

identification.

Material that has damage during or after unloading shall be replaced or repaired to the original condition.

For both loading & unloading operations, the supervisor, a flagman and HSE Animator will control the work
in the site.

c. Protection & Storage on Site


- Steel work will be laid out within the confines of the job site off the ground on timbers.
- Steel members will be stacked as far as it is practicable to avoid accumulation of, to encourage
ventilation and avoid damage to the galvanized/painted materials.
- Storage/numbering by area to be defined.
- Stacking of material to consider erection sequence.
- Bolts and fittings will be stored indoors until required on site and will be maintained as controlled
stock.
- Housekeeping for the loading area will be conducted before loading material, to avoid dirt, and
foreign material.
- Tick timber will be used between each item during unloading.
- An interspace of minimum 250 mm will be respected between each block.
- While loading, the material will be stored above ground level using timber.
- All bolts, nuts, washers, screws and small plates shall be suitably packed and identified, those
materials should be stocked enclosed inside of warehouse.

d. Transportation of steel structure from storage area to erection area

- Use forklift or crane for loading the material on trailer.


- The material to be fixed on the trailer by Wire rope (see the picture below).
- A flagman must guide trailer from storage area to erection area.
- Use forklift or crane for unloading the material from trailer.
- Use of forklift for transportation to the site work of a less quantity of beams.
- A flagman must guide forklift from storage area to erection area.

e. Survey of Building

- The Surveyor shall be responsible to check the verticality alignment of side panel to ensure
that all panel sare aligned.

- QC Inspector shall be responsible of monitoring and inspection of the work to ensure that
the work is performed in accordance with DEC/JGC Technical Scope of work and Standards.

f. Material arrangement.

- Storage area will be arranged near to the construction site.


- Material arrangement will meet the erection sequence to avoid delay, and damaging, both the
paint and the shape of the material.

VII.Erection Work of cladding and roofing

a. Preparation Work

- Site access shall be done, and safe access for all intended site vehicles including delivery vehicle
and cranes for the area. of structure where to install the roofing and side wall panels.
- Storage and erection area location of area shall be clean, level and ready.
- Clearing of obstructions, below ground, above ground or any overhead obstructions.
- The structure shall be completed and all nescessary inspection shall be completed such as;
Alignment inspection, bolt tightening inspection and all touch up paint for all damage paint shall be
done prior to installation of roofing and sidings.
- Using approved and latest drawings, verification of dimension, locations and alignment of roof and
wall frame including the purlins and side girth, angle, and channel where the panels are supported and
anchored.
- Any unsatisfactory conditions shall be subject for rectification prior to erection of roof and wall
panels.
- Coordinate the availability of materials and accessories in accordance with the proper sequence of
installation works.
- Anticipate any obstruction or interference of installation works, position of the crane and man lift
as per installation plan.
- For the installation of additional structural elements, including the overhead head and terminal
station, we plan to carry out this work as follows:
- The elevation of personnel to the desired level will be primarily provided by a single-mast lift
platform (see brochure).
- It is understood that prior to the installation of the platform, an inspection of the installation area
will be carried out, and a ground lift check will be performed to prevent accidental subsidence. The
mast elements of the platform will be attached every 6.0 m to the existing metal structure according to
the manufacturer’s instructions (see installation and removal instructions for the platform).
- The platform components will be assembled and disassembled by two trained operators and
supervised by a qualified manager. Who is responsible for verifying the proper functioning of the
platform and its safety prior to commencing work.
- In the event of a power failure or any emergency situation, the platform is equipped with a manual
lowering device that allows it to reach the ground manually.

b. WALL PANELS INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Use a lifting platform or a crane to lift the siding sheets and place it in the exact location.
2. The panel should be aligned and secured using riggers mounted in a hand basket, while the
siding sheets are lifted by a crane.
3. The panel must be aligned and fixed using the fitters who will lift the cladding sheets in the
lifting platform at the same time.
4. Position the panels accurately on the steel structure frame, adjust accordingly to the final
position before fix and fastening.
5. After alignment of panels, secure the panels using the fastener with the electric drill
machine, fastener location shall be as shown in the vendor drawing.
6. Install the next panel in accordance with the same procedure and as per vendor
specification such as; lapping of panels and location of fastener.
7. For the installation of gable trim, flashing, ventilator; please refer to the vendor drawing
and specification.
8. For the required opening of roof and wall panels, filed cutting to suit, Extra care for drilling
and cold cutting using cut off machine or tin snip cutter, metal fillings, drill shaving and burr shall
be removed from adjacent surface prior to installation of panels.
9. For the installation of wall panel that cannot be reached by man lift we will use man basket.

c. ROOF PANELS INSTALLATION

1. Ensure lifelines are secured installed at rooftop, Access the rooftop through scaffolding.

2. Using crane or tower crane for the lifting of roof panels at the rooftop, tinsmith and workers at the
rooftop shall be position the panels and installed at the exact locations.
3. Position the panels accurately on supporting frame or structure. Adjust accordingly to final position
with proper bearing before fix or fastener.
4. After alignment is done secure the panel using the fastener with electric drill machine with care.
5. Install the next roof panels in the same procedure as above, ensure the correct orientation of each
panels, anticipate the requirement for the lapping, end trim, joint filler and sealant.
6. Install all accessories in accordance with vendor catalog, drawings and specification.

7. For the installation of roof panel that cannot be reached by man lift we will use man basket or lift
platforms.
8. The first line of cladding panels (known as a tier) should be laid out close to the rafter and
temporarily fixed, starting from the eaves and progressing parallel to the rafter as far as the ridge.
During this operation, care should be taken to avoid walking on the purlins, as this is likely to cause
damage. The cladding installation should then proceed away from the rafter into the span of the
purlins one tier at a time, as shown in Figure 5.4. Each tier of panels should be fixed to the purlins
before the next tier is laid, in order to provide restraint to the purlins and reduce the risk of
damage under construction loads.

1. Introduction

in order to measure the response capacity of the


medical service and the reliability of the emergency
plan of the DAP 107 dryer project, an incident
simulation was initiated on 05/07/2021 to test
knowledge of emergency response and measure
the effectiveness of the intervention and possibly
compliance with the stages of the alert plan and the
intervention plan.
2. Chronology

10h00: Victim falls inside the dryer, and the alert is triggered.

10h05: the HSE supervisor informs the HSE manager of the incident and
the seriousness that requires an ambulance intervention.

10h10: SCIF HSE Manager call the ambulance, and give the driver the right
location of the intervention.

10h15: SCIF HSE Manager inform JESA HSE Manager, and SCIF project
Director.

10h00: The ambulance arrived at the scene of the incident accompanied by


SCIF nurse

10h20: the IP has been evacuated from inside the dryer using a stretcher,
and then evacuated from the building by using SCIF 35T crane.

10h25: once on the ground, the IP receive first aid treatment by the nurse,
and then transported to SCIF medical facility (TSF)
