PARTS OF THE HEAD

Hair: is a keratinous filament that grows from the epidermis.


Forehead: Upper part of the face, between one temple and the other, and from
above the eyes until the turn of the skull begins.
Eyebrow: Part of the face, prominent, curvilinear and covered with hair,
located above the eye socket.
Eyelashes: are a series of hairs that grow around the eye, on the edge of the
eyelid.
Eye: is the main organ of the visual system and is the basis of our sense of
sight.
Cheek: Part of the face located below the temples and eyes, and extending
from each side of the nose to the chin, whose skin laterally closes the mouth.
Nostril: Ducts covered by a mucous membrane and tiny hairs (cilia) that help
filter air.
Jaw: Arched bone of the lower part of the face.
Chin: is one of the features of the face that gives the most character to the
expression.
Ear: External part of the ear, cartilaginous structure that directs sounds
inward.
Earlobe: is the soft, fleshy part of the outer ear.
Temple: is each of the two lateral parts of the head located between the
forehead, the ear and the cheek.
Nose: is the organ of smell and is the main access route for the entry and exit
of air from the lungs.
Mouth: is the beginning of the digestive tract.
Lips: are soft, moist structures found at the front of the mouth.
