Topic: bizhub C754 C654 C554 C364 C284 C224 FW upgrade

Procedure using USB memory stick.

Requirements:

1) USB memory stick with capacity 2GB or less is recommended.

2) USB Memory stick is to be formatted to FAT32
3) Security features on USB stick must be turned off.
4) USB memory stick that appears as multiple drives is not compatible.
5) USB stick must be empty of all other content.
Note all version numbers in this bulletin are for illustration only; always check
the infohub for the latest FW versions

Procedure

1) Download the FW file from the infohub.

This is an example, please
always check the infohub for
the latest version and the correct
FW for the model you are
upgrading.
2) Unzip the file to a location on your laptop.

3) Open the folder.

The contents should look like

4) Open the folder A2X00Y0-F000-G**-**(00)

The contents should look like

5) Copy all of the files shown in step 4 and paste them to a USB memory
stick, That has no other files on it.

6) Switch of the C654\C754 at the mains switch and remove the screw [1]
Loosen the screw [2] and lift up the cover [3] insert the USB stick into the
srvice port [4].
 7) Switch on the main switch and after a short while a dot will appear in the
right hand top corner of the control panel. This will be displayed for
approximately 2 minutes.

8) After approximately 2 minutes the screen will change to FW download

screen, Observation has noticed that a red screen may appear temporarily
this should be ignored if FW screen appears very soon after.

Touch start and the FW will

now load, after completion
approximately 15 – 20
minutes. Switch of at the main
power switch and remove the
USB stick. Switch back on and
check FW versions in service
mode.
