Small red marks may appear during the treatment. They will disappear in a few minutes. It is
recommended not to exert pressure on the applicator in order to prevent their appearance,
especially on the face.
3. DESCRIPTION
Microdermabrasion is a technique that removes the superficial layers of the skin through a
mechanic and controlled exfoliation performed with the Diamond Tip kit included. It is a very
smooth exfoliation that comprises the stratum corneum and granular epidermis. As a
consequence of this exfoliation, cell regeneration and an increase in the production of collagen
take place. Skin elasticity and tone are increased, as clinically observed. Microdermabrasion is
used in the treatment of different natural skin disorders and those caused by aging.
Due to microdermabrasion the skin becomes more receptive and the absorption of applied
products increases, without causing any pH alteration.
The Ecleris Minivac provides the necessary suction to collect desquamated cells and performs
massages or vacuum therapy with an applicator designed for that aim. It has a suction system
that controls the vacuum level and which is connected to an applicator or hand piece through a
suction tube. A series of consecutive filters between the pump and the hand piece prevent the
possible damage of the pump, avoiding particle penetration and ensuring the correct functioning
for many years. The vacuum level can be changed according to the intensity required during the
treatment.
The Ecleris Minivac was not designed for liquid absorption. Every treatment must be
performed on a dry skin.

4.1. INSTALLATION
Experienced personnel are not required for the installation of the Ecleris Minivac.
8) Connect the AC interlock cable to the Ecleris Minivac. Check that the electrical network
voltage to be used is the same as the one stated in the voltage selector switch on rear panel
of the device and that the correct fuse is installed.
4.2. REVISION
Once the installation is finished, and before starting-up the device, please goes through the
following checklist:
Check that the electrical network voltage to be used is the same as the one stated in the
voltage selector switch on rear panel of the device.
Verify that the electrical network used has its grounding connection in perfect conditions,
and that it makes perfect contact with the device.

USER MANUAL – MINIVAC
Check that the fuse holder has a fuse and that it is of the correct rating:
- T5AL250V for 110 V
- T4AL250V for 115 V
- T2.5AL250V for 220 V
- T2AL250V for 230 V
Check that the ventilation grid is free of obstructions.
Check that the collecting bottle and the filter located inside it are clean. The set formed by
the collecting bottle and the filter prevents the passing of liquids, creams, or secretions
(that could be sucked during the improper use of the device) to the suction line and thus to
the pump.
Check that all piping is firmly connected and that there are no air leakages.
Check that all piping is in good conditions and not strangulated.
If before starting the Ecleris Minivac you detect any abnormality, please contact the
technical department of your local distributor prior to using it.
Connect the AC interlock cable to power supply. Press the master ON/OFF switch to turn on the
Ecleris Minivac.
The correct functioning is verified when the maximum vacuum level is reached.
5. OPERATION
Turn on the master ON/OFF switch. A light inside the switch will indicate if the system is
operating.
Before starting the vacuum treatment, check that the vacuum set (applicator hand piece, suction
bottle and suction hose), is firmly connected. This will help preventing air leakage and the
consequent vacuum loss.

USER MANUAL – MINIVAC
3) Suction will start as soon as the Diamond Tip gets in touch with the skin and will stop
immediately when your finger is lifted from the hole on the top of the vacuum regulator.
This allows the operator to exert proper treatment control.
If you detect any abnormality, please contact the technical department of your local
distributor or nearest ECLERIS office.
Clean the area with a warm, damp towel or a damp facial sponge. Dry.
Treatment planning: There are 3 parameters that can be regulated to decide on the exfoliation
depth that should be planned before starting the procedure:
a. Tip size.
b. Vacuum intensity.
c. Quantity of applications per area.
Start with the finest tip and with low vacuum pressure.
Once the three parameters have been decided, regulate vacuum intensity. Vacuum pressure
controls the skin pressure on the diamond tips. 50 and 75 micron tips and a very low initial
pressure, gradually increased if a higher exfoliation depth is desired are suggested for
rejuvenation. 100 micron tips and higher pressure are recommended for deep scars.
5.4. TREATMENT
Softly apply the tip on the skin. Several applications on the same region are possible, depending
on the desired depth of exfoliation. The result is an accurate, even, soft, safe, and discreet
exfoliation. For a facial treatment, divide the face in 4 sections:
FOREHEAD: move the tip vertically from the eyebrow to the beginning of the scalp. Then
move it horizontally. Repeat until the desired exfoliation is achieved.
MIDDLE REGION (nose, cheeks, and upper lip): start from outer side to inner side with
vertical movements, crossing them with horizontal movements. Work on the nose
vertically, and on the upper lip horizontally. For the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles,
make vertical applications crossing them with horizontal ones. Do not touch the lip itself.
CHIN (lower lip and jaw): apply vertically from the lip to the chin, and then apply
horizontally.
PERIORBITARY: it is usually the last region to be treated, and it is strongly recommended
NOT to use vacuum, just apply the tip softly on the surrounding area of the eye. Never
treat inside the ocular cavity or upper eyelid.

USER MANUAL – MINIVAC
In all cases, it is better to work on tight skin. Use your free hand to tighten it during applications.
For the treatment of the neck, use low vacuum pressure to avoid marks. Apply horizontally from
the central part to the sides.
For bosom treatment, low pressure is recommended. Apply horizontally and vertically.
Finally, if any area had scars, wrinkles, enlarged pores, etc., it is recommended to treat it at the
end of the general exfoliation, and to work each area with the adequate tip and pressure.
Apply moisturizing cream (preferably hypo allergenic) and sun block (SPF 15-30).
Make-up can be used immediately, but preferably not for the first 24 hours.
6. MAINTENANCE
6.1 CLEANING
Before cleaning the Ecleris Minivac, disconnect the power supply cable from the electrical
network.
Perform the cleaning with special care, avoiding water or humidity access to the
equipment. Periodically check that ventilation grids are not obstructed in order to avoid
excessive temperatures.
Do not use detergents, solvents or any other abrasive agent. Do not autoclave any part of the
equipment.
Disinfection: Once again immerse in disinfecting liquid during the time recommended by the
manufacturer.

USER MANUAL – MINIVAC
Sterilization: the hand piece, the angular adapter, the vacuum regulator and the Diamond tips can
be sterilized in autoclave at 135 ºC (275 F) in 5 minutes, after the adequate cleaning has been
performed.
Diamond tips should be sterilized after each use. Do not use them on more than one
person without previously disinfecting and sterilizing them.
1) Carefully remove the collecting plastic bottle and the micro-porous filter, by unscrewing
them.
2) Clean the collecting trap and the micro-porous filter using a disinfecting soap solution
according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
4) Place all parts in the device, first the micro-porous filter and then the collecting
receptacle. Loose connections must be avoided as they will produce air leakage,
lowering the vacuum level.
Never use the Ecleris Minivac without the micro-porous filter and the collecting receptacle
The Ecleris Minivac was not designed for liquid absorption. It is essential to perform all
treatments on a dry skin surface.
1) Disconnect the power supply cable from the electrical network and the equipment.
2) Under the power supply cable connector there is a small rectangular plastic holder where
the fuses are located. Using a screwdriver and with a slight pressure remove the lid to
replace the damaged fuse.
3) Remove the burnt fuse and replace it with the spare fuse located inside the same plastic
holder. Use:
- T5AL250V fuses for equipment working at 110V
- T4AL250V fuses for equipment working at 115 V
- T2.5AL250V fuses for equipment working at 220 V
- T2AL250V fuses for equipment working at 230 V
4) Place the fuse lid back pushing it until a “click” is heard.
5) Connect the power supply cable.
