CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BUNDLES. DAMAGED WIRE BUNDLES CAN CAUSE
SPARKS OR OTHER ELECTRICAL DAMAGE.

CAUTION: ELECTRICALLY GROUND THE AIRPLANE. THIS WILL HELP TO PREVENT

DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE OR EQUIPMENT.

Note:

1. Manual titles are referred to by acronyms. Refer to Paragraph 1.J., References, for
definition of the acronyms.

2. Part I - Installation of program pin wiring for the Digital Flight Guidance Computers (DFGC)
will require change of JT8D-217C engines to JT8D-219 engines per Pratt and Whitney
Service Bulletin JT8D 5731 or installation of JT8D-219 engines for compatibility with the
engine performance indication system.

Part II - Installation of program pin wiring for the Digital Flight Guidance Computers
(DFGC) will require change of JT8D-219 engines to JT8D-217C engines per Pratt and
Whitney Service Bulletin JT8D 5732 or installation of JT8D-217C engines for compatibility
with the engine performance indication system.

3. Maintenance personnel should familiarize themselves with referenced drawings and

manual chapters before starting this change.

4. Do continuity checks during installation of electrical wires.
