RESPONSIBILITIES
Incident Management

 Identifying and categorizing incidents based on the impact and urgency. Setting up the call
with stakeholders, including users, management and technical teams.
 Promoting to Major Incidents when it affects large number of business users.
 Escalating to Major Incident Management team to engage the resources in the call.
 Publishing IT Event Notification (ITEN) from Service Now Ticketing tool to notify the business
users and management about the progress towards resolution.
 Issues are fixed in production application by implementing the work around, by fixing the
infrastructure services and restoring the production jobs.
 Problem tickets are raised to concerned teams for Root Cause Analysis(RCA)
 Documenting the resolution steps in SharePoint folders preferably runbook to refer when the
issues re-occur.

 Monitoring production systems, applications, and infrastructure especially for mission-critical


systems to establish business continuity and user satisfaction.
 Skilled working in production servers which includes Apache, Tomcat and WebLogic Servers in
Linux platform.
 Proficient in Java, MySQL, Oracle SQL production Databases and Service Now Ticketing Tool.
 Renewed the SSL certificates for production servers by informing the downtime with timelines
and seeking the approval from Business users. Kept notified by publishing the ITEN.
 Root cause analysis in the production systems and have a proven track record of analyzing
complex issues within applications, databases, and infrastructure components.
 Extending the service account passwords for the smooth transaction flow.
 Weekly calls with the Business users to update on the progress of the complex incidents.
 Working with Infrastructure teams and proposing the ideas of increasing Heap/Packet Size in
production servers for 24*7 application availability.
 Consistently met Service Level Agreement (SLA) for incident response and timely resolution.

Production System Maintenance

 As part of maintenance in production systems, check application for new software releases,
patches, and updates to enhance the security.
 Setting up the java variables and exporting java home to match the updated java version.
 Plan and schedule change by raising the change requests to minimize impact on production
systems.
 Collaborate with patching teams to ensure smooth process and еnsurе application availability.
 Performing the rollback in case of deployment failure, backups and Disaster Recovery
management.
Troubleshooting

 Identify the issue by reviewing the application logs in the production servers and any error
message generated by JAVA.
 Replicate the issue in lower environment either Test or Dev.
 Ensuring that the application is running on a compatible Java version. Investigate the java
processes, check for recent code changes and patching.
 Analyzing the memory leaks as Java applications may go out of memory as well as checking for
excessive resource consumption.
 Performing heap dump and thread dump analysis.
 Testing and connecting to the production database, if the application interacts with a database
for the smooth transaction flow for finance/credit/Compliance related applications.
 Verifying the network connectivity between upstream and downstream applications by
performing telnet test and check all the functionality is working as expected.

ACHIEVEMENTS

 By analyzing recurring incidents, I introduced preventive measures by enhancing application


stability and user satisfaction. I have been recognized for my work and awarded as the “STAR
performer” by TCS management.

 I have received appreciation mails from Client Organization HPE for successfully migrating 15
JAVA applications to private cloud. As well as I have been awarded with “On-Spot” award and
being appreciated in TCS-HPE client meetings.

 Bagged GEMS from TCS management for being the contextual master by providing the
permanent solution for recurring issue in mission critical applications.
