INTRODUCTION

In this performance task, our job as statisticians is to collect information

about the habits of at least 30 senior high school students. We will look at
things like their daily routines, activities, and behaviors. Our task involves
collecting information about their habits and analyzing the distribution of the
gathered data to construct a normal curve. A normal curve is a statistical
concept that represents a symmetrical distribution of data. It is
characterized by a bell-shaped curve, with the majority of the data
clustered around the mean, or average, value.

To start our analysis, we will gather data about the habits of senior high
school students. This includes things like their study habits, activities
outside of school, how much time they spend on screens, how often they
exercise, and their sleep patterns. We will collect this data from a group of
at least 30 students who have different backgrounds and interests. This will
give us a good idea of the habits and behaviors that are common among
senior high school students.

After gathering the data, we will analyze its distribution. This involves
finding the average value, called the mean, which represents the average
value of the data, and measuring how the data points are spread around
the mean, known as the standard deviation, which measures the dispersion
or spread of the data points around the mean. These calculations help us
understand the typical habits of senior high school students and how much
their habits vary from each other.

Using the gathered data, mean, and standard deviation, we will create a
graph called a normal curve. This graph shows how the habits of senior
high school students are distributed. It helps us see the usual patterns and
trends in their habits, which can be helpful for studying and understanding
their behaviors in more detail.
The data we gathered from the senior high school students of Mater dei
College:
