:I
:I 1. The problem ofloneliness.

:I Psalm 102:7-11 I lie awake; I have become like a bird alone on

a roof. All day long my enemies taunt me; those who rail against
me use my name as a curse. For I eat ashes as my food and mingle

:i my drink with tears because of your great wrath, for you have taken
me up and thrown me aside. My days are like the evening shadow;
I wither away like grass.

;!I 2. David turned to God when he was lonely.

Psalm 25:16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely

;I and afflicted.

Psalm 142:1-4 I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift up my voice to the

LORD for mercy. I pour out my complaint before him; before him
;I I tell my trouble. When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you
who know my way. In the path where I walk men have hidden a
snare for me. Look to my right and see; no one is concerned for
;a me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life.

3. God will provide for us when we feel alone.

;J Psalm 68:5-6 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he
leads forth the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a
;J sun-scorched land.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid

or terrified because of them, for the LORDyour God goes with you;
he will never leave you nor forsake you.
John 15:4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch
can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you
bear fruit unless you remain in me.
Psalm 38:9-15 All my longings lie open before you, 0 Lord; my ~
sighing is not hidden from you. My heart pounds, my strength fails
me; even the light has gone from my eyes. My friends and companions
avoid me because of my wounds; my neighbors stay far away. Those I;:
who seek my life set their traps, those who would harm me talk of my
ruin; all day long they plot deception. I am like a deaf man, who cannot
hear, like a mute, who cannot open his mouth; I have become like a -==
man who does not hear, whose mouth can offer no reply. I wait for
you, 0 LORD;you will answer, 0 Lord my God.
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and
I;:
be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will
I leave you; never will I forsake you." I::
