Greetings from Darbar Sahitya Sansad

" Darbar Sahitya Sansada (DSS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving livelihoods,
empowering women, and safeguarding the environment. The focus of Darbar Sahitya
Sansada's Sustainable livelihood approach establishes the project "Developing Self-Sustaining
Resource-Efficient Sustainable Aquaculture Scalable Model" under "Sustainable Aquaculture
for Food And Livelihood (SAFAL)" aims to make a positive impact in 5 coastal districts of
Odisha, such as Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Khurda, and Puri, by promoting sustainable
aquaculture in the community.

This project focuses on empowering village and cluster-based aquaculture beneficiaries by

creating a pool of 48 Community Resource Person (CRP)Trainer, 240 CRPs through technical
training, capacity-building initiatives, exposure visits, and farm pond demonstrations, 3600
aqua-farmers utilizing record books for informed business decisions. Direct beneficiaries
include FPO members, who will gain improved knowledge, access to quality resources, and
financial services. The initiative aligns with government objectives, promotes job creation and
income opportunities in rural areas, and facilitates dialogue and knowledge exchange in the
aquaculture sector.

We are pleased to inform you that DSS is organizing a Farm record book inaguration at the
Swosti premium. The primary objective of this event is to provide a comprehensive
overview of the sustainable aquaculture program, featuring knowledge materials
developed by GIZ.

Alley hall on February 23, ·2024. Your presence and Insights would contribute to making this
