CHAPTER IV

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents, analyzes and interprets the data gathered in this research

study. The various results were presented in the succeeding tables with corresponding

discussions and explanations. It also answered specific problems given in the previous

chapter.

The Table 2, shows the Impact of Anxiety on class Performance Tasks in terms

of : Oral Recitation, Role Playing, and Reporting. The Role Playing got the highest

overall weighted mean of (3.12), with the description of Moderate. Under this, I can

sleep so well at night before my performance in role playing. (3.42), reflected as high.

Furthermore, I can speak very well in front of class during role playing (3.12), with the

description of moderate. I don't have a visible sign of nervousness such as sweating and

shaky hands when performing in front of class (2.8), reflected as Low. I feel confident

and happy performing in front of the class (3 14), and I can act well with proper

expressions in portraying my character in a role play (3.12) with the description of Low

However, the Oral Recitation got overall weighted mean of (2 89), with the

description of moderate. Under this, I feel excited before an oral recitation. (2.88), I am

confident in making eye contact in class (3.04), I feel comfortable standing in front of

the class during an oral recitation (2.74), I can express my thoughts clearly during oral

recitation (2.86), I speak every word clearly when I recite in front of class (2.96), had the

same description of moderate.

Moreover, the Reporting got overall weighted mean of (2.84), with the

description of moderate. Under this, I don't feel comfortable while standing in front of

the class when it comes to reporting (3.3), I am confident in making eye contact in class

(2.76), reflected as moderate. Furthermore, I feel comfortable standing in front of the

class when I'm reporting (2.3), with the description low. I can express my thoughts

clearly during my class reporting (2.96) and I can clearly speak every word I say during

reporting (2.88) with the same description of moderate.

In addition, the Level of class Performance Tasks got the overall weighted

mean of 2.93, reflected as moderate.

The Table III shows the level of Anxiety with the overall weighted mean of

(3.57), with the description of high. Under this, I wish I could relax with myself when

I'm performing in front of class got the highest mean of (4.1), with the description of

high. I feel tense, nervous, restless, or agitated when it comes to class activities (3.6),

reflected as moderate. I feel afraid for no apparent reason when it comes to class

reporting (3.52), I worry about bad things that might happen to me when I'm performing

in front of the class, (3.94), and I have difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep before my
