My Tools
Interview a teacher in the school you visited and inquire how they have utilized their parents as school
partners in education.

Parents are vital partners in education. They are the ones who influence children’s attitudes towards
learning. They are intertwined with the word home and school. Parents are one of the biggest stake holders
in school. I believe that parent- teacher partnership improved educational outcomes of the students. Both
the teachers and parents are the integral parts in planning the future of the students. At Sta. Lucia National
High School, I’ve heard in one of the meetings that the teachers are open for suggestion of the parents
because in the first place they are the ones who knows every single inch of their child and they are the ones
that will help the teachers to enforce the plan of making them a better citizen in the future. So that it is
important that we have the communication with the parents, because they play the very big role in making
students better and also support their supporting system.

YOUR ANALYSIS
 As a future teacher, I need to know and understand the six (6) features of the curriculum because...

I will become a better teacher in the future. Also, to be effective in delivering the learnings.
Moreover, for us to be able to determine which aspect of the curriculum we will use to meet the
requirements of our students. To gain a deeper comprehension of our chosen profession, future
educators must be familiar with and knowledgeable of curriculum features.

Your Reflection:
Write a short reflection for this episode.

Curriculum can’t be a curriculum without its features. Just like a food it will not be complete
without all the ingredients needed. In curriculum we have the features, and its ingredients are
the students and the teachers. Its like they are partners that will provide resources to the school
and help the school in any way they can. Every features of the curriculum plays a big role in
molding the learners and helping the teachers to facilitate and transfer learning for the students.
