SCANTLING
MAXSURF RHINO ACCORDING to
ISO12215
 The aim of the training is to realistically
design a 74m long Mega Yacht with all its
details and make it ready for manufacture,
using the modeling tools in the Rhino
Software and using the calculating tools in
the Maxsurf Software.
 All the models in the pictures
and videos you see are
completely modeled within the
trainings.
 The trainings aim to fully convey the design
process to students. For this reason, only owner
demands were determined at the beginning of the
training. Hull design, lines plan and offset table
were created entirely within these trainings.
Training begins with designing the hull of a mega yacht.
All hull modeling and optimization tools in the Rhino and
Maxsurf softwares are explained.

The decks and compartments of the

boat were modeled taking into
account preliminary stability
calculations.
The entire construction of the boat
was modeled taking into account
scantling calculations.
 Interior designs are
completely prepared
within these trainings.
 Weight calculations were made and the final ıntact
and damaged stability booklet was created according
to Lloyd's Register standards for the Captain.
Dozens of subjects such as Outfitting Equipments, Gross
Tonnage Calculations, Resistance Calculations, Range
Calculations, Motions, Preparation of General
Arrangement Plan, Preparation of Shell Expansion Plan,
Preparation of Frame Plans, Preparation of Compartment
Plans, Render Subject are also prepared and explained.
Differences regarding
commercial ships and
different types of boats
are also explained.
 The subject of scantling was explained according to ISO and how
the calculations could be made easily was taught. We own the SCT
software, which is an advanced software that allows calculations to
be made easily. The student version of the software is also given as a
gift to all students who enroll in the course. In this way, students can
easily learn the subject of scantling.
