1. General

The BHT INNOVA® M3 New is built out of maintenance friendly components, in order to
guarantee a long lifetime. Despite this however, certain maintenance works must be carried
out to ensure trouble free operation.

Determine the schedule of maintenance.

Note!

When executing the maintenance works it is absolutely necessary to obey the following
safety instructions.

During maintenance works the machine must be power-free

(switch off main switch and secure against turning on).
Caution!

Be careful when working with cleaning and disinfection

agents. Eyes, hands and clothes must be protected. Wear
safety glasses and gloves. Avoid contact of eyes and skin
with chemicals. Caution!

The machine’s casing may not be exposed to pressurized

water jets - Danger of Electric shock!.

2.1 Filter sieves

After opening the wash chamber the filter sieves can be hot!

Caution!

• Remove the coarse filter and the fine filter out of the wash chamber

• Remove any dirt or particles collected in the filter screens.

• Rinse the filter screens.

• Reinsert the filter screens.

2.2 Rotating jet arms

After opening the wash chamber the rotating jet arms can be
hot!

Caution!

• Check if the arms rotate freely.

• Visual check of the nozzles and clean them if blocked.
• Check jet arm bearing.

Daily maintenance

2.3 Detergent container

• Check the level of the chemical containers and refill if necessary.

Filling level

Check the level of the chemical containers. If there is no

change in the level of one of the chemicals for consecutive
cycles, the operation should be checked by a specialist. This
should be informed immediately to the manufacturer or

The disinfection and cleaning effect of the machine could be

3.1 Suction hoses for the dosage pumps

Check if the hoses of the dosage
pumps are defective or blocked
(bending points)

3.2 Suction filters for level control devices

The filters in the level control devices
prevent the hoses from getting
blocked. Check if they are freely
passable and remove any crystallized
particles.

4.1 Key foil

• Clean the key foil with a damp cloth.

Use only mild cleaning detergent. Do not use aggressive cleaning solutions.

5. Maintenance counter

The BHT INNOVA® M3 New is equipped with an automatic cycle counter. After 800 wash
cycles the operator is alerted to call the service company (BHT Hygienetechnik) for
complete maintenance of the machine.

After the program start, the message

“Maintenance due” is shown on the display. Maintenance due

The machine can still be used temporarily:

Step 1: Acknowledge the alert note with

“STOP” key.

Sept 2: Restart the program with

“START” key.

With each program start the alert note is shown again. Inform
your service company (BHT Hygienetechnik).

6. Maintenance schedule

During maintenance works the machine must be power-free

Check the rotating spray arm for easy mobility, and nozzles
for any blockages.

Check the level of the media container X

Clean the wash chamber X

Check the suction hoses of the dosage pumps X
Clean the suction filters of the dosage pumps X
Check safety mechanism of the door X
Clean key foil X
Change sterile filter X
Check if the carbons of the dryer turbine are worn out X
Check if the dosage pumps and internal hoses are worn out X
Check if the rotating jet arms are worn out X
Reset the maintenance counter X
