Unit 4 Learning Activity 2

Imagination, Creation, and Expression at Work

A. Direction/s: Make your own artwork that belongs to any subcategory of the Visual Arts. For your
subject, you can choose to present a representational type or non-representational type of art.
Do not buy art materials. Instead, recycle those old ones of yours or your siblings’ or use
materials that you can find at home. Presentation of output will be through photo
documentation which shows the creative process you have undergone. Please refer to the
appendix for the organization and layout of the photo documentation. The rubric is also found
at the appendix of the module for your guidance.

B. Direction/s: Share your thoughts as to why you have presented the specific subject of your
choice in your artwork in not more than 200 words. Write it in the last page of your photo
documentation.

Sunset is an excellent metaphor for transitions because it captures the essence of both
closure and the promise of fresh beginnings. The warm colors and gradual fading of light
represent the passing of time, prompting nostalgia and meditation. Furthermore, sunsets are
generally admired for their beauty, making them a poignant topic that appeals to a wide range
of audiences. The dynamic color interplay and changeable character of the scenery may
communicate a range of moods, from calm to sorrow. Sunsets may appeal to artists because
of their intrinsic emotional resonance and the opportunity they provide to explore themes of
change, impermanence, and the cyclical aspect of life. Finally, depicting a sunset in artwork
typically shows a wish to communicate a feeling.
