Target your Maths Year 4 Practice Workbook has been written to accompany Target your Maths Year 4
Text Book. The Practice Workbook is intended to provide pupils with the material to consolidate their
learning, whether used in the classroom or at home.
The structure of the Practice Workbook matches that of Appendix III found in Target your Maths Year
4 Answer Book. In Appendix III the Year 4 Programme of Study is organised into twelve termly blocks.
In Appendix IV overleaf each page of the Practice Workbook is matched with the corresponding block
and page(s) of Target your Maths Year 4 Text Book.
Whereas each lesson in Target your Maths Year 4 is pitched at three different ability levels, the Practice
Workbook is based solely upon the requirements of Year 4 pupils, the ability level covered by Section B
of Target your Maths.
The author is indebted to many colleagues who have assisted him in this work. He is particularly
grateful to Sharon Granville and Davina Tunkel for their invaluable assistance and advice.
