3rd Form Career Research Presentation 2022-23

Instructions

Do research into a Career in the field of Electrical & Electronic Technology and make a presentation about your findings
in class, one week from given date. The presentation timed for 8 minutes (maximum), will take the form of:

1. A PowerPoint (PPP)/Word Document. (Soft copy must be sent to manningseet@gmail.com, 24 hours before).
and/or
2. Dramatization or other art forms. (Script/Outline must be sent to manningseet@gmail.com, 24 hours before).
NB.
i. Groups will ideally
9 consist of four members.
ii. Each group must elect a leader. This person will then have the responsibilities of:
a. assigning each member one or more Area of Focus.
b. ensuring that each member submits his/her Area of Focus on time
c. collecting the information from all members and putting it together for presentation.
d. coordinating the presentation on the due date, so that each member participates.

The content of the research should cover:
Information to be presented Suggested format
Job Description Give the official title and a detailed job description of Paragraphs/Slides
what the person does on a day-to-day basis.
Related Jobs Give the Job Titles and brief job description of four (4) Paragraphs/lists/Slides
other persons who work alongside the main career
mentioned above.
Salary Give a detailed breakdown of all salaries (in Jamaica Table
dollars per month JMD$) and benefits (Housing, Leave,
Health, Work Hours etc.) for all the careers researched.
Qualification Give a detailed breakdown of all subjects and other Table
formal/informal training (i.e., CXC subjects, Diploma,
Certificate, Degree etc.) needed for all the careers

Presentation How clearly the information was presented and how much the audience 15%

Creativity Incorporation of other creative ideas during presentation or in the 10%
document itself
Knowledge Correctness of responses to related questions asked. NB. This is an 15%
individual component where each person will be asked questions about
his/her Area/s of Focus.
