Outline Business Ethics

1. An ethical dilemma is also frequently known as a moral dilemma. It represents a specific

circumstance during which a specific person will have to select an option out of two solutions

characterized by controversiality. In other words, neither of them is fully acceptable as both of

them have their own advantages and disadvantages (Figar et al.,2016). Due to the complexity of

these options, it is vital that the individual apply critical thinking techniques in order to choose

the best options with the less negative effect on the organization's goal.Due to the fact that both

options tend to bring both losses but also benefits, the individual needs to analyze in-depth the

circumstances and determine which of these cons can be overcome in the future and will have

the least impact on the image of the company.(Boru,2020)

2. The purpose of any human resource department is to ensure that the individual with the best

skills gets the job in order to ensure that the organization can reach one step closer to meeting

their goal. The fact that the HR department requested further information regarding Irwin's status

reveals the fact that they are interested in his skills and hiring him. Even so, they have already

conducted some previous interviews with him without taking a final decision, which means that

a grade mistrust might exist in the given circumstances. The reason why they request all those

additional info is to determine if he was telling the truth and if he is really eligible for the given

job.

3. As stated in the first answer, ethical dilemmas are based on in-depth decision-making

processes. If they are not implemented as expected, the solution will result in more harm than

good. The given circumstances does not provide the option to take a fully ethical decision which
means that as a counselor, it is my duty to ensure a balance in terms of the damage conducted.

Confidentiality in the counseling industry is vital because it is my ethical duty to fulfill this

contract and to promise the client that neither of the information discussed will be divulged

without an authorized disclosure. (Thomas et al.,2015).
