Packaging Guideline for Conveyable Parcels

Introduction

We have started to shift sorting process for small parcels from manual to
automation. This migration helps us to increase sorting capacity and speed up the
sorting process.

Leaving empty spaces inside the packaging will cause the item inside to move freely.

● This will cause parcel to fall out from conveyor belt tray, increasing the risk of
damage during transit.
● Sorters will have to fold the flyers neatly to fit to item’s shape

correct printer for the label material) and conduct troubleshooting before
printing.

Incorrect Positioning of Labels on Parcels

● Paste the entire line of barcode label on the package’s largest and flattest surface area for better
visibility and stability.
● This is because the area with the barcode has to be facing upwards when placed on the conveyor
belt.
● The barcode has to be pasted on a flat surface. Do not place it on a curved surface
