Content Standard: Demonstrates understanding of key concepts of
geometry of shapes and sizes, and geometric
relationship
Performance Standard: Is able to create models of plane figures and
formulate and solve accurately authentic problems
involving sides and angles of polygon.
Learning Competency: The learners will be able to derives relationships of
geometric figure using measurements and by
inductive reasoning; vertical lines and perpendicular
angles,
Code: M7GE-IIIb-1
I. Objectives At the end of the lesson, at least 75% of the students
can be able to:
a. classify linear and vertical angle;
b. demonstrate proficiency in measuring and
drawing linear and vertical angles using
protractors and rulers; and
c. appreciate the linear pair and vertical angle in
real life situation
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Angle Pair
Reference: Mathematics 7 Learner's Module
Materials: Cartolina, Laptop, Work Sheet and TV
Values: Appreciation & Cooperation
III. Procedure/Methodology A. Preliminary Activities
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Checking of Attendance
 Classroom Rules
 Review
 The Teacher will ask the students about
their past lesson
 Motivation
“VERTICAL! LINEAR”
The teacher will pick five students to play the
vertical and linear this game is similar to HEP
HEP HORRAY!
B. Lesson Proper
1. Activity
“WORD HUNT!”
The teacher will divide the class into three
groups. Each group will be given a piece of
paper where they will hunt words and write it
at the back of their worksheet. Three minutes
time will be given to hunt the words.

2. Analysis
The teacher will ask the following questions:

1. What words did you find?

2. How did you identify those words?

3. What would be our topic for today?

3. Abstraction
After the activity the teacher will discuss and
illustrate examples about linear pair and vertical
angle.

4. Application
“Figure it Out”
- In the same group, the teacher will give each group
a worksheet and let them answer it for 5 minutes.

1. Look at ∠VXY and ∠YXZ. How will you classify

this angle pair?
2. Find the measurements of all vertical angles in the
figure where m∠1=2x+15 and m∠2=85-5x.

IV. Evaluation On a ½ sheet of paper, choose the letter of the

correct answer.

1. In a picture frame, two adjacent angles are formed

by the intersection of the sides of the frame. What
type of angles are these?
a. Linear Pairs b. Vertical Angles c. Angles
2. When two streets intersect, the angle formed
between them on opposite sides is known as?
a. Linear Pairs b. Vertical Angles c. lines
3. When a ladder is placed against the wall, the
angle formed between the ladder and the ground is
an example of?
a. Linear Pairs b. Vertical Angles c. Pairs
4. In a bicycle wheel, the angle formed by the
intersection of the spokes with the rim is examples
of?
a. Linear Pairs b. Vertical Angles c. Corresponding
5. in a square, the angles formed between adjacent
sides are examples of?
a. Linear Pairs b. Vertical Angles c. alternate
interior angles

V. Assignment In a ½ sheet of paper (crosswise) answer the

following:
1. In a picture frame, the angles formed by the
intersecting sides’ measure 110° and 70°. Are these
angles an example of a linear pair? Why or why not?
2. Two streets intersect at a right angle. If one angle
measures 40°, what is the measure of its vertical
angle?
3. In a parallelogram, one angle measure 60°. What
are the measure of its adjacent angles?
