Content Standard: Demonstrates understanding of key concepts of

geometry of shapes and sizes, and geometric
relationships.
Performance Standard: Is able to create models of plane figures and formulate
and solve accurately authentic problems involving sides
and angles of a polygon.
Learning Competency: The learners will be able to represents point, line and
plane using concrete and pictorial models.
Code: M7GEIIIa-1
I. Objectives At the end of the lesson, at least 75% of the students
can be able to:
a. describe points, line, and plane;
b. create representation of points, line and plane in
an object; and
c. relate points, line, and plane in real life objects.
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Basic Concepts and Terms in Geometry
Reference: Mathematics 7 Learner's Module
Materials: Pentelpen, Ruler, Visual Aids, and Work Sheets
Values: Appreciation & Cooperation
III. A. Preliminary Activities
Procedure/Methodolog  Greetings
y  Setting of Classroom Standards
 Checking of Attendance
 Classroom Rules
 Review
- The Teacher will ask the students about their past
lesson

A. Motivation
“Scramble Word”
1. POINTS = O N T I P S
2. LINE = N L I S
3. PLANE = E P L A N
B. Lesson Proper
1. Activity\
ACTIVITY- “WHAT IS IT?”
- The class will be divided into three (3) groups
- Every group will find anything inside the
classroom that has point, line, and plane.
- They have five (5) minutes to enumerate every
item.
- After the allotted period, they will select a person
to deliver the items on their list.
2. Analysis
The teacher will ask the following questions:
1. What are the real life examples of points, lines
and plane?
2. What have you observed in the objects that you
presented?
3. Are you familiar with points, line and plane?
3. Abstraction
POINT
A point indicates a precise place in space. It is
dimensionless. It names a point with a capital letter. It
writes as •A or Point A.
LINE
A line is a group of points arranged consecutively. It
stretches in both ways indefinitely. The figure is one-
dimensional. A line is defined by two points. That is, a
single line contains two different points. To identify the
line, we utilize a lowercase letter or any two points on the
line.it write as ex. Line z
PLANE
A plane is a collection of points on an endless, flat
surface. One of the following can be used to identify a
plane:
(a) two intersection lines;
(b) two non-collinear points; (c) two parallel lines;
or
(d) a line and a point that is not on the line.
To name the plane, we utilize three points on the plane
or a capital letter, like J.
4. Application
“WHAT AM I?”
- Divide the class into two (2) groups.
- Each group should have three (3) representative
to portray the given word
- All members of the group will be the one to guess
what is it.
1. Points
2. Line
3. Plane
IV. Evaluation Test I. Determine the questions stated on the
following:
1. It is a group of points that arrange
consecutively
2. It is a collection of points on an endless, flat
surface.
3. It utilizes three point and uses capital letter
4. It indicates a place in a space
5. It is defined by two points. That is, a single line
contains two different points.
Test II. Create your own point, line, and plane to
the following objects:

1. 2.

3. 4.

5.

V. Assignment Research the following:

1. Postulates about points, lines, and planes
2. Postulates about intersection of lines and plane
