J&F DEPARTMENT STORE

J&f Department store is a store

where individuals may purchase

necessities such as clothing,

furniture, and other items. It is

located at Brgy. San Antonio

Alangalang Leyte. Inside the J&F

there is an arcade and food stall

for those who wish to have fun,

especially the kids. However,

when the COVID-19 pandemic

broke out, the J&F was forced to

close briefly in March 2019 due

to the government's decision to

close all shopping malls

temporarily to stop the virus

from spreading. In such

scenario, all J&F employees

were temporarily laid off.

When the government decided

that all shopping malls will

reopen, the J&F: department

store made certain that all of

the government's regulations

would be followed. To ensure the safety of its employees and

customers, J&F implemented variety of health protocols, including

mandatory facemask use, social distancing and foot sanitizing,

temperature monitoring, recording some information about J&F's

customers for contact tracing, and installing glass barriers of each

counter. However, despite the fact that the J&F had reopened, the

arcade remained close due to government regulations. In year 2021

the cases of COVID-19 infection is progressively diminishing that's

why the J&F imposed.
