If that fails, rubbing the front and back of the stain liberally with white chalk, letting it sit over night, then washing
it again has never failed me (or my messy, constantly grease stained, partner).

I see others have covered the dawn thing, I had the exact same issue just recently and when just dawn didn’t
immediately worked I called my grandmother and she instructed me to use the dawn AND mix it with something
like borax or oxiclean and allow it to sit on the oil so that it can be absorbed by the paste. My blouse is now oil free!
It also works on those nasty white deodorant stains.
