About the Programme
Renewable Energy is
Jalandhar got established in year 2001 under
the aegis of DAV college Managing committee.
The institute is approved by AICTE and
affiliated to Punjab Technical University,
Jalandhar.The institute has a beautiful campus
located in the heart of city and spread over an
area of about 18 acres. The institute has been
ranked as top college of Engineering and
awarded the certificate of excellence for
exemplary contribution in the field of Higher
Education and also ranked 15th amongst the
best private engineering colleges of north
India by India Today MDRA survey 2019.
DAVIET is carrying out original research of
significance and technology development at
the cutting edge. The Institute not only
celebrates freedom of thought, cultivates
vision and encourages growth, but also
inculcates human values and concern for the
environment and the society.
About the Department
Department of Electrical
Engineering started its
undergraduate program
of in DAVIET with an
intake of 60 students in
2002. The post graduate
program in Electrical
Engineering with an
intake of 18 students was
introduced in 2011.
the energy extracted
from resources which
are renewable in nature
and cause minimum
loss to the environment
as compared to the
conventional fossil
based resources. The
renewable energy
resources, systems
and technologies has
become the major concern nowadays to fulfill
the increasing energy demand and growing
environmental issues. The availability of
suitable and sufficient energy sources,
development of environmental friendly
utilization technologies and the cost of energy
have been extremely important factors that
require major thought and hence research. So
there is a need to track these changes with
updates in advances in technology in this area.
The aim of the FDP is to impart research skills
and knowledge to the beginners and existing
researchers so as to improve the quality of
research in the area of thermal energy and
about extracting renewable energy. This
programme will bring a beneficial change
among the faculty members towards research
and enable the participants to develop
c o m p e t e n c e i n u n d e rs t a n d i n g r e c e n t
advances in renewable energy sources,
systems and technologies.

etc)

Registration
Registration form in the prescribed format
approved/sponsored by competent authority
should reach to the Course Coordinator on or
before November 15, 2019 with a refundable
draft of Rs. 1000 (security) in favour of
“Principal DAVIET Jalandhar”. No TA/DA will be
paid for attending the FDP.
