English terms have been used for some of the definitions that follow and these are not translated into local languages.
Each term is however described in the language of the document. For example: predominantly flat (PF), rough (R),
very rough (VR), light (L), medium (M) and road conditions (RC).

means that the service interval is limited by the option whichever occurs first.
No engine oil change interval shall exceed 12 months,
Fuel quality
Engine oil change intervals differ depending on the fuel quality which is being used. In the engine oil change interval
tables, different types of fuel are listed. The different fuel types are defined in the following way:
Fuel type 0: The sulphur content in the fuel does not exceed 0.0010% in weight (10 ppm)
Fuel type 1: The sulphur content in the fuel does not exceed 0.05% in weight (500 ppm).
Fuel type 2: The sulphur content in the fuel is between 0.05% in weight (500 ppm) and 0.5% in weight (5000
ppm).
Fuel type 3: The sulphur content in the fuel exceeds 0.5 % in weight (5000 ppm).

If vehicle speed frequently exceeds 90 km/h, move to the next higher POC.
3
If the combined PTO (at zero vehicle speed) and idle time exceeds 25% of total operating time, move to the next
higher POC classification.
Note: The POC determined for a particular application must be used for all of the components to which the POC
applies. If there is a conflict with the fuel consumption interval for the determined POC and the actual fuel consumption
(if known), then the actual fuel consumption shall decide the POC for the vehicle.

The filters may require more frequent replacement under certain conditions, e.g. irregular fuel quality, power
reduction, low fuel pressure.
2
Under some conditions, the filter will need more frequent replacement, e.g more than 50% of driving in dusty
environment.

Viscosity grade
The viscosity is selected in accordance with the table. Temperature values refer to constant air temperatures.
1) Only VDS-4 approved oils can be used above +30°C. Non VDS-4 approved oils can be used up to +30°C.
3) VDS-3 and VDS-4 approved oils of viscosity grade 5W / 30 can be used up to +30°C.
When using 10W/30, fuel consumption can be lower than when using 15W/40.
