There are four reasons why a God who is both all-powerful and perfectly good might choose to
take on human form. The first reason is:
- To reconcile us with GOD
As humans, we have all wronged God, and this wrongdoing leads to guilt that
necessitates repentance, apology, and reparation. While we can certainly repent and
apologize, we lack the time and the will to make up for our mistakes. Therefore, God
must provide the reparation himself by living a perfect life, the kind of life that we should
have lived.
turo at kanyang buhay.
- The life and actions of Christ were a continuous form of teaching. His various deeds,
miracles, gestures, and prayers all served as examples for people to follow. His love for
everyone, including the poor and disadvantaged, was a testament to his teachings.
- Christ's ultimate sacrifice on the cross and subsequent resurrection serve as a fulfillment
of his teachings and reveal the truth of his message.
- At the presentation of Jesus in the temple, he is recognized as the firstborn Son who
belongs to the Lord and the long-awaited Messiah. Simeon and Anna, along with all
Israel, await the coming of the Savior. Mary's prediction of the sword of sorrow
announces Christ's perfect and unique sacrifice on the cross, which will bring salvation to
all people.
- The Proclamation of the Kingdom is a mystery that covers the entirety of Christ's public
ministry and humanity. Christ proclaimed the Kingdom of God at the beginning of His
public ministry, inviting us to change ourselves and embrace His gospel of peace. St.
Paul proclaims the wondrous mission of living out Christ's teachings and spreading the
joyful news of His love. Christ proclaimed His kingdom by simply living His Divine life
here on earth, loving God and neighbor. We are called to follow Christ's example and go
out as 'sheep in the midst of wolves' to proclaim the gospel of peace with our lives.
Jesus’ Ministry
- The life of Jesus Christ during His mortal ministry, including His teachings, miracles,
and use of priesthood authority. It also mentions His heartaches, such as being mocked,
scourged, and betrayed. While His acts were not unique to Him, there is no limit to the
number of people who may follow His example, and many have endured persecution for
His sake.
- To be forgiven by God means that your sins have been wiped away, and you have been
restored. Through Christ, God generously forgives any wrong you have done, and it is
not held against you. God is willing and eager to forgive, and this forgiveness is available
to you through faith in Jesus Christ. It is up to you to decide whether to accept it or not.
- In addition to healing the sick, Jesus' ministry also included the miraculous restoration
of the dead. Through Jesus, God's love and compassion for all of his children was
demonstrated through personal contact, restoring those who were outcasts back to
community, and providing salvation from both sin and death.
The transfiguration of Jesus
- The Transfiguration of Christ has the purpose of strengthening the faith of the apostles
in anticipation of his Passion. It is said that the ascent on to the mountain was a
preparation for the ascent to Calvary. As the Head of the Church, Christ manifested what
his Body contains and radiates in the sacraments, which is "the hope of glory".
- The Paschal Mystery is a core Catholic belief that includes Jesus' passion, death,
resurrection, and glorification. According to the Catholic Church, Jesus' sacrifice on the
cross was God's way of saving humanity. The resurrection of Jesus, which is the belief
that God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion, is the most
crucial event in Christianity. It marks the beginning of the Kingdom of God and is the
foundation of Christian faith. Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection, calling
them to forgive sins and baptize repenters.
