Distance between bottom side screen

The position of the front side of the screen


cassette and the side plates must be
equal.

This can be adjusted with the ball rod end cylinder
of the small cylinder.

Both cylinders must be completely


retracted.

Distance between the cam and the side


plates → 1 mm.

This is applicable to the left- as well as the

The total clearance may never exceed 2

Place the safety valve/valves at equal


distance between the side plates of the
hammer mill.

The distance between the sensor


(‘screen cassette placed’) and the fork
on the large cylinder → 5 mm (both Location sensor
cylinders are retracted). screen cassette

Each screen cassette is provided with


two sensors.

During extension of the small and large


cylinder, the sensor should not touch
5 mm
the fork.

The signalling lamp on the sensor must


be visible.

Sensors on the adjustment cylinders

Each screen exchange is provided with

The 2 supporting rolls on each tensioning

The tension of the punch springs must


be 20 mm; measured from plate to
screw.

Connection piece
Fix the cam to the screen with a counter
sunk hexagon head screw M10x25.
Never use a longer screw!

Optional:
When a connection piece is used, it is
fixed with 5 bolt/nut M8x10
combinations.

Adjustment of the switch for the safety


valve
 Make sure the adjustable cam in the
switch has maximum play (11°).
 Mount the switch on the cassette with
the valve facing downwards.
 Refer to the figure: use a screwdriver
to turn the play in the switch
clockwise. Make sure the switch does
not switch.
 Tighten the locking screw.

For a switch at the other side of the
cassette (GD 1400), turn the play

Adjustment of the forks in the screen

Distance bottom side nut up to cylinder
housing is 137 mm, when the cylinder is
extracted.

The stroke of the cylinder is 125 mm.

The distance between the sensor of the


fork and the cassette in the lowest
position → 2 mm.

The signalling lamp on the sensor must


be visible.

Each cassette is provided with 3 sensors. 2 mm


 a GD700 is provided with 2 cassettes.
 a GD1400 is provided with 4 cassettes.

The sensors ‘screen in cassette’ have a


fixed position. They are not adjustable.

Each cassette is provided with 3 sensors.


 a GD700 is provided with 2 cassettes.
 a GD1400 is provided with 4 cassettes.

Adjustment cylinders for clamping screen

The distance between the nut and the


lug on the cylinder rod → 4–10 mm.
 4 mm: opening for screen minimal
 10 mm: opening for screen maximum

Remark:
Only adjust the sensors when the
screens are completely in the hammer
mill.

Screen clamping for a GD700 is provided


with 4 sensors:
 2 sensors for ‘screen clamped’
(cylinder in)
 2 sensors for ‘screen not clamped’ Sensor
(cylinder out) ‘screen not clamped’

Screen clamping for a GD1400 is


provided with 6 sensors:
 4 sensors for ‘screen clamped’
(cylinder in) Sensor
 2 sensors for ‘screen not clamped’ ‘screen clamped’
(cylinder out)

De sensors for ‘sieves not clamped’ are


located in the compartment between the
grinding chamber and the motor.
