PART 3 - SECTION 4 oils and waxes
OFFSITES CHAPTER VII- Transfer I Shipping

Shipping of finished lube oil, wax, as well as the various semi-finished products (such as lube oil
base stock) can be performed as follows :

• Bulk transfer and shipping, by truck or railway tank, or barge. (This method is seldom used for
finished lube oil, but is acceptable for lube oil base stock).

• After packaging : in cans and drums in the case of finished lube oil, as cakes and I or pellets for
wax.

Bulk transfer and shipping of lube oil train products are performed in the same way as in the case
of the products of an hydroskimming refmery.

Hence, it is recommended to refer to the corresponding chapters in this guide.

The following chapter presents the case of shipping of packed products.
