What is this type of Insurance?

24/7 cover in the event your nominated vehicle breaks down at the roadside.

What is insured? What is not insured?

・Unlimited call-outs ・The same or similar cause of breakdown attended by us in the

previous 28 days (including running out of fuel or charge)

・Finding/diagnosing the fault with your vehicle

・Faults due to lack of routine maintenance

・Attempted repair of the fault
・Recovery of more people than the registered vehicle is legally

・Parts to repair the fault, up to the value of £5

able to carry (up to a maximum of 7)

・Recovery to a local repairer

・Non-emergency repairs (anything that doesn’t stop you from

driving your car safely)

・Transportation of livestock

・Accidents. If you’re involved in one, please contact Marshmallow

directly

Are there any restrictions?

・Cover is only valid for the registered vehicle

・The vehicle must be roadworthy, within 3.5 tonnes and no wider than 2.55m

・No vehicle recovery following vandalism. If your car is vandalised, please contact Marshmallow directly

Where am I covered?
Anywhere in the UK, at least ¼ mile away from your home address.

What are my obligations?

・To keep your vehicle roadworthy, ensuring it’s taxed, insured and with a valid MOT

・To ensure that repairs are made on your vehicle following service warnings or after our mechanic has attended your vehicle

When and how do I pay?

This breakdown cover will be added to the cost of your car insurance policy.

When does the cover start and end?

The cover starts and ends in line with your insurance policy. Please refer to your policy documents for details of your policy start and end date.

How do I cancel?
You can cancel your Breakdown Cover at any time by getting in touch with Marshmallow directly. There’s no cancellation fee, and we’ll refund
you for any unused period of cover. If you cancel your main Marshmallow policy, your Breakdown Cover will stop automatically.
