Activity title: Formatting Bullets

Concept Notes:
A list is a number of connected items entered consecutively that are in bullets or number.
The two (2) types of lists:
1. We use bullets for lists of items in no particular order.
2. We use numbers for lists that show sequence or order.

BULLET LIST NUMBER LIST


 Crayons 1. Open book.
 Pencil 2. Turn to page 10.
 Paper 3. Get color red.
 Scissors 4. Color the cars in
red.

Here are the steps in formatting text using bullets:


1. Open MS Word, and type the list of ingredients in each line – melon, sugar, water, and ice.
2. Select all items, then choose Home and go to the Paragraph group.

3. Click the Bullets icon.


4. A drop-down list of options will be shown.
5. We are done!

Hands – On:
1. Create a list that has the names of five (5) of your classmates. Use bullet list.

Concept Notes:
Here are the steps in formatting text using numbering:
The number list is the type of list for the steps to create the beverages.
1. Open MS Word.
2. Type the following steps in each line as shown below. Type the word, then press enter the key to
go to the next line.

3. Select all items using the mouse. Let us use our cursor before the letter P in “Pour”, then click
and drag down to the last item.
4. Go to Home tab to locate the Paragraph group, then click Numbering.

5. Choose the box


6. We are done!

Hands – On:
1. Create a list that has five (5) activities that you will do. Use the number list so that you will
know which activity should go first. Save your work in your folder.
