A Rainy Saturday with Tom’s family

It wasn’t very warm and sunny last Saturday. In fact, it was rainy and windy, so my family decided to
stay at home and watch TV.
After breakfast, we turned on the TV set in the living room and my younger sister Monica watched
a few cartoons. She had a great time and laughed a lot.
Monica’s favourite cartoons are Dora the Explorer and Peppa Pig. Monica likes Dora because she is not
afraid of anything and she enjoys watching Peppa because the little pig is very funny.
My mum loves Polish soap operas, so she watched two episodes of “M jak miłość”. Soap operas are
boring for me and my dad, so we played a video game in my room. We played our favourite game,
which is FIFA, and I won, of course.
At 1.00 p.m., we had lunch and later we all watched a quiz show. My parents are very good at quizzes.
They always know all the answers to the questions. After that, we tidied up the house. Monica and
I tidied our rooms, dad tidied the bathroom and the hall, and mum cleaned the kitchen and vacuumed
the living room.
We sat in front of the TV set later in the evening at around 7.30 to watch the news. There was some
awful news about an earthquake in the Philippines and a flood in Vietnam. The good news was that
nobody was killed.
Finally, we watched a great adventure film with Harrison Ford. The film was full of action and exciting
events. We enjoyed it very much.
