System Requirements -
The system configuration required to run as a user system is shared below -

A. Windows 7/8/10 Operating System

B. Minimum 2 GB RAM

C. Minimum 40GB Hard Disk Memory

D. Minimum Core2 Duo processor.

E. Minimum 1.4GHz clock speed

F. Google chrome 70 and above/Mozilla Firefox 70 and above Browser

G. Antivirus should be disabled on this system.

H. Dotnet 4.5 must be installed on the user system.

For CSCEB to function properly on your computer, please make sure that:

⚫ CSCEB has administrative rights on the system. At the time of installation, please install CSCEB as administrator.

⚫ Windows is Updated.

⚫ System and network firewall should be disabled for best experience.

⚫ Anti-virus is disabled.

Download and Installation Process

1. Please Login using the Login Credentials provided by test administrator on a web browser I.e.- Google Chrome or
Mozilla Firefox.

2. Start Test page will be displayed on the next page.

3. On clicking the Download button, the system will prompt to store the CSCEB setup file in the default
downloadsfolder.

4. The CSCEB setup will start downloading. In a few minutes, the CSCEB setup will finish downloading.
5. Once the CSCEB setup is downloaded, go to the downloads folder and double click on the setup file.
6. The following screen may be displayed. Click on “Run” on this prompt.
7. The CSCEB setup will start installing.
8. Click on “Next” when prompted by the installation Wizard. The CSCEB will be installed in the default Program Files.

9. You will be notified on successful CSCEB installation.

10. When you login again using the same login credentials, the system will prompt you to open the Safe
Examine Browser. Click on “Open Safe Exam Browser” when prompted to start the test in Safe Examine
Browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question - Will my running applications be closed before the test starts.

Answer -Before the test starts in SEB, SEB will forcefully close all the running application after your confirmation. If
you need to save ongoing work in any of the applications, you can do so by clicking “Cancel”, going back and saving
your work. After that, you can come back and restart your test from where it was left.

Question - What if SEB is not able to close all the applications running in the background.

Answer - If the SEB is not able to close all the application(s) running in the background, you need to close the
application(s) manually. You can do so by going to the Task Manager.

Question - I am getting the following screen when the SEB is launched. What Should I do.

Answer -This error is encountered when SEB is not able to connect to servers due to any restrictions in the QSystem
ornetwork firewall. Temporarily disabling the System and network firewall and restarting the system after that will
help in this case.

Question – Is your screen gets blank or stuck while running CSCEB browser?

Answer – Press ctrl+q to exist the browser and manually close all the application running in background from task
manager.
