Installing Safe Exam Browser and Attempting SEB-Enabled Exam

1. Check that you have data and your Laptop is connected

2. Download Safe Exam Browser (over 200MB size):

3. Open the downloaded file.

4. Check (box) “Agree to licence terms and condition”.

5. Click install and select Yes for changes to computer

Watch out for the Set-up Progress (this could last 5 minutes)

After Point 5, You must have completed the SEB installation and you will not need to download SEB on
the same laptop for the purpose of Exam again.
Now, navigate to the Exam you want to attempt on the LMS and follow the instructions therefrom.
 Select “Launch Safe Exam Browser”.
 A Box will pop up asking you to check “allow LMS to open links of this type”. Select Open Safe
Exam Browser.
 The LMS will automatically log you out and ask that you log in with your username and
password again.
 Input your Username and Password, and wait for few seconds for the Exams to load
 Your time begins to count and you may begin answering the questions.
 The Taskbar will display exit Safe Exam Browser Button, Battery Level, Wi-Fi connection,
Microphone, Time and Date.
PS:
If the downloaded SEB does not work on your system, navigate to the Exam you want to attempt, click
on the suggested download SEB-version button and install.

How to ensure you get it right:

1. follow all the steps/instructions above.
2. If you are still unable to get an SEB to work on your system, it means you will not be able to
attempt Exam. Meet someone who has been able to install and launch SEB on their Laptop to
help you out.
