Motion Under Gravity

An object in motion due to the force of gravity is undergoing motion under gravity. Gravity causes all objects on Earth to accelerate downward at 9.8 m/s^2. Free fall refers to motion solely due to gravity, where air resistance and other forces are negligible, and objects accelerate at a constant rate regardless of mass.

Motion Under Gravity

When an object moves due to the application of the gravity force, its motion is
known as a motion under gravity. The gravity of the earth pulls the object towards
itself with an falling accelerFation which is known as acceleration due to gravity.

FREE FALL PROJECTION

Free fall is a state of falling free from air For objects projected vertically upward
resistance and other forces except gravity. Final velocity (v) = o at maximum height
Characteristics of free-falling objects: Acceleration = -g
 Free objects do not encounter air For object projected vertically downwards
resistance
Initial velocity(u)= 0
 All free-falling objects
(on earth) accelerate downwards ate a Acceleration(a)= +g
