ِ ِ َ ‫ﺎﳊﺎ وَﻻ ﻳ ْﺸ ِﺮ ْك ﺑِ ِﻌﺒ‬

ِ ‫ﻓَﻤﻦ َﻛﺎ َن ﻳـﺮﺟﻮ ﻟَِﻘﺎء رﺑِ ِﻪ ﻓَـ ْﻠﻴـﻌﻤﻞ َﻋﻤ ًﻼ‬
َ ‫ﺎدة َرﺑِّﻪ أ‬
‫َﺣ ًﺪا‬ َ ُ َ ً ‫ﺻ‬ َ َ ْ َ ْ َ َّ َ ُ ْ َ َ
{So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate
none as a partner in the worship of his Lord} [18:110]

O one who questions regarding my way and my ‘aqīdah,

guidance is bestowed upon the one who seeks it.

‫ُﺣ ﱡ‬
Loving the companions, all of them, is for me, the way,
________________________________________________________________________________
and through the love of the closest, do I seek intercession.

‫ﻀﻞ‬ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ
َ ْ‫ﻳﻖ ﻣْﻨـ ُﻬ ْﻢ أﻓ‬
ُ ُ ‫ ﻟَﻜﻨ َﱠﻤﺎ اﻟﺼ ّﺪ‬... ‫ﻀﺎﺋﻞ‬
ُ َ َ‫ﺪر َﻋﻼ وﻓ‬
ٌ َ‫وﻟ ُﻜﻠّﻬﻢ ﻗ‬

For every one of them is a lofty status and many virtues,

however as-Ṣiddīq from amongst them, is the most virtuous

ْ َ‫ﻮل ﰲ اﻟ ُﻘﺮآن َﻣﺎ َﺟﺎء‬

I say regarding the Qur’ān what has come in

its Āyāt, for it is the noble revelation.

‫ واﻟـﻤـﺼﻄَـ َﻔﻰ اﳍ ِﺎدي وﻻ أَﺄﺗَﱠو ُل‬... ‫ﺎل ﷲ ﺟ ﱠﻞ ﺟﻼﻟُﻪ‬
َُ َ ُ ُ َ َ ُ ُ ُ‫وأَﻗ‬
َ َ‫ﻮل ﻗ‬

I say: “Allāh said”, exalted in His magnificence,
and “the chosen guide said”, and I do not misinterpret.

‫ ﺣ ًّﻘﺎ َﻛﻤﺎ ﻧَـ َﻘﻞ اﻟﻄّـﺮ ُاز اﻷَﱠو ُل‬... ‫وﺟـﻤﻴﻊ آ�ت اﻟﺼ َﻔﺎت أُﻣﱡﺮَﻫﺎ‬

All the Āyāt relating to [His] attributes, I [acceptingly] pass by them,
________________________________________________________________________________
[affirming their] truth, as narrated by the first exemplary generations.

‫ﺻﻮﻧـُ َﻬﺎ َﻋﻦ ُﻛ ِﻞ ﻣﺎ ﻳ ـﺘَ َﺨـﻴﱠـﻞ‬ ِ
ُ َّ ُ َ‫ وأ‬... ‫ﻬﺪﺗَـ َﻬﺎ إﱃ ﻧـُ ﱠﻘﺎﻟـ َﻬﺎ‬

ُ َُ ُ‫وأَرﱡد ﻋ‬
I return the responsibility to those who transmitted it,

and I protect it from all speculation.

ُ ‫اﺳﺘَ َﺪ ﱠل ﻳَـ ُﻘ‬
ْ ْ ‫ وإ َذا‬... ُ‫ﻗُـْﺒﺤﺎً ﻟ َﻤ ْﻦ ﻧـَﺒَ َﺬ اﻟ ُﻘﺮآ َن َوراءَﻩ‬

Disgrace to a person who throws the Qur’ān behind him,
________________________________________________________________________________
and when he seeks an evidence, he replies: “al-Akhtal said”.
________________________________________________________________________________
ِ ‫ وإِﱃ اﻟﺴ‬... ‫ﺆﻣﻨﻮن ﻳﺮون ﺣ ًّﻘﺎ رﺑـﻬﻢ‬
ٍ ‫ﻤﺎء ﺑِﻐ ِﲑ ﻛ‬
‫ﻴﻒ ﻳـﻨ ِﺰل‬
ُ َْ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬ ِ ‫واﻟـﻤ‬
ُ ‫ُ ُ َ َ َ َ َﱠ‬

The believers shall see, in reality, their Lord,
________________________________________________________________________________
and to the [lowest] Heaven, without [questioning its] reality, does He descend.
________________________________________________________________________________

________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________

‫َرﺟﻮا ِﺄﺑَِّﱐ ﻣﻨﻪُ ِرًّ� أَﻧْـ َﻬ ُﻞ‬ ِ ‫وأُﻗﱡﺮ ِﺎﺑﻟـﻤﻴﺰان واﻟـ َﺤ‬
‫ أ‬... ‫ﻮض اﻟﱠﺬي‬

I accept the Mizān (scales) and the Ḥawd (pond), which,
________________________________________________________________________________
I hope I will drink from it; my thirst I will quench.
________________________________________________________________________________
ِ ‫ ﻓَﻤ‬... ‫ﻮق ﺟﻬﻨﱠٍﻢ‬
‫ﻮﺣ ٌﺪ َ� ٍج وآﺧﺮ ﻣﻬﻤﻞ‬ ِ ‫وﻛﺬا‬
َ َ‫اﻟﺼﺮا ُط ﻳـﻤ ﱡﺪ ﻓ‬

Also the Ṣirāt (bridge) extended over Jahannam,
the person of Tawḥīd will be saved; whilst the other one, forsaken.

‫ وَﻛ َﺬا اﻟـﺘﱠـﻘ ﱡﻲ إِﱃ اﻟـﺠﻨَﺎن َﺳﻴَ ْﺪ ُﺧ ُﻞ‬... ‫ﻜﻤﺔ‬‫ﺼ َﻼﻫﺎ اﻟ ﱠﺸﻘ ﱡﻲ ﺑِـﺤ‬

ْ َ‫ﱠﺎر ﻳ‬
ُ ‫واﻟـﻨ‬
and the Fire, in it the wretched will burn, by the wisdom [of Allāh],
________________________________________________________________________________
just as the pious will, into the gardens, enter.
________________________________________________________________________________
‫ ﻋﻤﻞ ﻳـﻘﺎ ِرﻧﻪ ﻫﻨﺎك وﻳﺴﺄَل‬... ‫وﻟِﻜ ِﻞ ﺣﻲ ﻋﺎﻗِ ٍﻞ ﰲ ﻗﺒ ـ ِﺮِﻩ‬
ُ ْ ُ َ َ ُ ُُ َ ُ ٌ َ َ َْ َ ٍّ َ ّ ُ

For every living sane person in his grave,
________________________________________________________________________________
are deeds that will accompany him there, and he will be questioned.

________________________________________________________________________________

________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________

‫ وأَِﰊ َﺣﻨﻴ َﻔﺔَ ﺛـُ ﱠﻢ أَﺣـ َﻤ َﺪ ﻳـُْﻨـ َﻘ ُﻞ‬... ‫ﻚ‬ ّ

ُ ‫َﻫﺬا اﻋﺘ َﻘ‬
This is the creed of Shāfi’ī and Mālik,
________________________________________________________________________________
Abu Ḥanīfah also Aḥmad, which has been conveyed.
________________________________________________________________________________

‫ﻴﻚ ﻣ َﻌ ﱠﻮ ُل‬
ُ َ َ‫ﺖ ﻓَﻤﺎ َﻋﻠ‬ َ َ
________________________________________________________________________________
َ َُ َ ‫ﻓَِﺈن اﺗـﱠﺒ‬
َ ‫ وإن اﺑ ـﺘَ َﺪ ْﻋ‬... ‫ﻌﺖ ﺳﺒِﻴﻠَ ُﻬﻢ ﻓَﻤﻮﻓﱠ ٌﻖ‬
So if you follow their way, then successful [by divine guidance],

and if you innovate, there is for you no support.
