TikTok Content Creation Strategy

In this document, we will go over some key components to filming high quality organic content on TikTok. This is by far
one of the most important aspects to dropshipping on TikTok, because not only will the videos you make be the
determining factor to how much traffic you get, but they will ALSO be used for your paid ads as well. UGC content is the
#1 way to advertise your business in today's market.

UGC stands for ‘User Generated Content’ , and is meant to appear as a ‘normal video’ rather than an ‘advertisement’. The
reason behind producing this style of short-form content is because we are competing in a fast-swiping / low
attention-span market. Viewers don’t like to watch ads, and there’s no way we can force them to watch our ads, therefore
our content needs to be highly engaging. This is why I highly emphasize finishing the pre-market worksheets, we need to
understand what will attract our target customer psychologically, then produce content that appeals to them. Blindly
creating what I like to call ‘Normal Style Advertisements’ does not work anymore, that worked 5+ years ago. So please put
your heart & soul into this content creation process, because this is what will MAKE or BREAK your success 🚀
Brief Content Structure Overview
1). HOOK: The first 3 seconds of your video will be the hook (by far the most important aspect of content creation). It
should be extremely engaging, to the point it makes damn near ANYONE stop scrolling. If your product is broadly
targeted, then you can use ANY random ‘WOW’ hook, if you have a niche product then callout your intended audience.

2). Body: This will be completely dependent upon your product. But it should be building curiosity the entire time & cause
someone to want to click into your profile / website to learn more. You can make a funny skit, you can go over how the
product benefits people's lives, you can build up curiosity to see how the product works in action, you can do an unboxing
video etc… Refer to the content ideas section for creating your body. Be CREATIVE.

3). CTA: Your call to action should cause either URGENCY or SCARCITY. Tell viewers to click the link in your bio, ex. get
their own before it runs out, or redeem a sale ending tomorrow. This is a general rule of thumb, but of course it varies from
product to product. If there is no CTA you will get millions of views - with little to no sales.

Content Ideas
● Satisfying Video
○ Remember, when tiktokers are scrolling through their feeds, they are in a ‘hedonic’ state. Satisfying videos
will keep their brains engaged because it feels ‘good’ to watch it. This is a great way to draw in tons of traffic.
Use lot’s of sound effects & fast transitions.
● Unboxing Video
○ A good way to build curiosity and keep viewers engaged till the end. Building up lots of curiosity is a good
ole reliable video format for just about any product. But the key here is to make sure it’s a fast paced
unboxing video with lots of cuts, if it’s too slow people will keep scrolling. Add in music/sound that has a
‘drop’ or builds people up to keep them engaged.
● Product Review
○ Appearing as if you're doing an honest review of a product adds a sense of trust & will keep people
interested to see if the product is actually something good. Even if they don’t know what the product is,
people have a natural tendency to enjoy controversy, it’s entertaining, so try to start your product review
videos with some sort of initial negative bias.
● Comedy Video
○ Comedy is comedy, it will keep users engaged for a good laugh. This is a more difficult video format
because you actually have to be funny… But if you do go down this route, make sure it’s funny to your
audience (not just yourself) (very common mistake).
● Relatable Content
○ Relate with your audience on common struggles, joys & pains in their everyday life. This one is a bit more
difficult because it requires an extensive understanding of your target audience. But if you do the worksheets
& truly take time to understand your product & audience, this will come with ease.
● Product Sells Itself Video
○ If you have a product that doesn’t require much marketing & has a massive ‘WOW’ factor to it, then this
video format is perfect for you. For example if you have a projector that shoots out a galaxy & makes the
whole room blow up with stars, simply just take HQ footage of it in action & let the exhibition do all the work
for you.
● Product Showcase
○ This is one of the more common & easy ways to make content. Make a video explaining your product with
either a voiceover or captions, or both, and explain how the product will benefit their lives (make sure to
come off as a third-party perspective). This typically works best with products that have tons of cool features,
uses, and benefits - example: a new skincare product. This is what we call “informative style videos” and is a
solid video format to utilize.
● Curiosity Builder
○ All videos should encompass curiosity to some extent, but with this strategy we’re basically just trying to
build blind curiosity for as long as possible. This will tell the algorithm that your content is engaging & will get
people watching till the end. But this requires a fine balance between keeping their attention & losing it, you
must find the perfect threshold. A loose hook example of this could be: someone angrily walking into a
building (but having the buildup / walk time take around 10-15 seconds until the climax is shown - why he
was angry).

Best Practices
1. Posting Volume: The sweet spot to how often you post is twice a day, spread out between 6-12 hour intervals.
Now… this doesn’t mean you can’t post more, more always = better on tiktok, because everytime you post it
reaches a new pool of viewers. So aim to at least post 2 videos everyday. Once you start running ads you can tone
this down a bit.

2. Broad vs. Niche: Make sure all videos are broadly targeted in order to get views, or atleast appeal to a big enough
niche. If you're selling a product that appeals to a small niche, then hashtags & TikTok SEO will be your best friend.
You won’t go viral but you’ll be reaching the right audience, which will bring you valuable sales over views.

3. Understanding: Determine what types of content style work best with your audience & your product. Take a few
days to just study similar products / niches & understand what will connect with your audience the most. Do not
jump right into content creation without having a substantial understanding of your plan.

4. Copy What Works: If one of your videos blows up, keep re-making that video format over & over again. Your
videos reach a new pool of people every post, so therefore audience overlap (repetitiveness) is a very minor
variable in the equation. Also, if someone selling a similar product to yours found success with a certain style of
video, just copy the general outline of what they did & see how it works out. Imagine TikTok as a giant machine with
trillions of data points - it creates matter out of chaos, then it records that data in there system. If one video has
worked very well for someone else (or yourself) - it will remember that exact combination of variables & give new
videos a better likelihood of success. It has nearly perfected the algorithm of keeping its users addicted, so when

you truly understand how this works you’ll be able to play the game & beat the system. Viewer watch time >
anything else.

5. Initial Conditions / Troubleshooting: If your videos are flopping & getting little to no views, it’s for one of two
reasons.
a. (most common) Your content sucks, it’s not engaging, and you need to step outside of your own ego &
re-evaluate what the hell you're doing, because if you're truly posting highly engaging videos then you WILL
get lots of views….
i. Solution: Either put more time/effort into creating better content OR if you don’t have the time nor
willingness hire UGC content creators to do the work for you.
ii. Wrong Solution: Jump straight into paid ads thinking you can skip this process. You will lose lots of
money & quit if you don’t truly understand tiktok marketing. But if your stern on this, please do not risk
more than you can afford - because this is the #1 place people typically quit & fail with dropshipping.

b. (less common) TikTok has a bias against you, in other words you have ‘bad initial conditions’. If you're
posting from a VPN you will have bad initial conditions. If you’ve already made tons of other tiktok accounts
with horrible quality content, TikTok will view you as a low quality content creator (bad initial conditions). If
you're stealing (ripping) content from other creators & using it as your own, you will have bad initial
conditions. Essentially anything that makes you appear as someone they don’t want on their platform - they
will have a bias against you. I go over this more in my course episodes.
i. Solution: Buy a new cheap phone (you can get them from walmart for $30 bucks) (phone IP does
not matter). Create a new account (new email, new phone, remove meta-data from old videos), and
restart on a fresh new clean slate. This will remove all previous bias. Learn more about this on the
course or ask your consultant.

6. Bottom Line: There is no secret ‘hack’ or ‘trick’ to making money on tiktok organic, you simply need to produce
HIGH QUALITY content. If there was some special secret trick I would tell you guys , but there’s not. You need to
adapt into being creative & start thinking intuitively - this is marketing.

You may be thinking to yourself at any particular moment within the process “I don’t want to have to do this, this
seems pointless, let’s just move onto the next step”, or “This takes way too long, I’m going to just make the easiest
content possible & hope it does well.” When these thoughts arise, remember that this is SUPPOSED to be hard,
this is not easy by any means. Your brain will come up with natural excuses to why you shouldn’t be putting in all
this effort. But remember, it is NORMAL to spend 10 hours a day creating content, it’s normal to feel like your
stepping out of your comfort zone, this IS the most crucial part of your dropshipping journey - and you have to
decide whether you want to push through the pain or just quit & go try out some new business model in a year from
now. I promise you 99% of everything else you try will be much more difficult than MAKING TIKTOKS. But
anyways, I just wanted to address the most important aspect of this entire process - your mindset. Good luck on
your journey and remember that with time & consistency you will inevitably become successful with your content.
Good luck!
