e) Write an essay about the Evolution of Roads and how it greatly affect the human
life. (Minimum of 300 words)

ANSWERS:

a.)Roads are very important to all people because we always use them as we
walk, run, and transport goods and services by using a vehicle or other
transportation. It created a way for us to go to our location and go to other
places without being lost. It is a direction for us people, and it helps to
connect places to other places so that we can have easier travel.

b.) A dirt path was made during the Neolithic era (10, 000 BC). It was
connected to how the Homo sapiens lived, since they traveled and changed
places in other places to hunt food to live. In the Neolithic era, the people
started to farm, and as time went by, the group of people started to have
their own places to live, where goods were shared and delivered to every
place. That is how the dirt path was created as their route to communicate
and trade with other places.

c.) The importance of trackways during 6000 BC is that they were created to
have an easier way to be used in places where it was not ideal to walk on
foot, like in the swamps and marshlands.

d.) The Via Munita, which means Roman ways, is created by digging some soil
that will create the length of the road, and the bottom of the dug place is
tightly packed down. They put the stones in their first layer and added a
second layer, which is the pulverized rocks and lime. They put a cement
mixture that contains crushed pottery and lime in their third layer. The fourth
step is to use a rectangular rock shape as its surface layer. Finally, they
installed drains so that the road maintained its integrity and avoided erosion.
e.)

Roads have had a great history of evolution throughout the years or

centuries. It is not just a simple road; it has a great background on which the
road is created. It was created by humans at the beginning of the Neolithic
age. In Homo sapiens, they travel and change places to search and hunt for
their food and never stay in one place. However, during the Neolithic era,
people started to have the idea that farming was the best way to maintain the
needs of their group and stop them from finding other places to hunt again.
The first road in history was created in 10,000 BC during the Neolithic
age and named a dirt path. Since the people had distributed farming in every
region and also grown their population, they started to trade and communicate
by using the dirt path as their route to every region. A dirt path is a normal
path that was made by repeated traffic by humans and animals. As humans
evolve, the road is also evolving. In 6,000 BC, people started to construct
trackways, which helped them walk into swamps and marshlands. As humans
evolve, the road is also evolving. In 6,000 BC, people started to construct
trackways, which helped them walk into swamps and marshlands. The
Egyptians started to create a road to easily transfer the materials needed to
build pyramids. From the improvised road that the Egyptians created, the
Romans created a great way to make the road more durable and not easy to
break. That is Via Munita, which means "Roman ways". After Via Munita, the
Roman Empire was known as the one who paved roads and continued to
create stone-paved roads after 503 years. In the Middle East, they created tar,
which is made of petroleum residue. It helped the road be firm and resilient.
As the Roman Empire ended, the Renaissance era started to take an interest
in Roman roads. As the people started to improve the road, there was a lot of
testing and discussion on how to make the road stronger and more firm. Now
that road has evolved into a great path.
As the world uses the road, it really has a great impact on human lives.
People use it as a mode of transportation, making it easier to travel from one
location to another. It connects people around the world. Having a good and
firm road is also connected to the health, economic growth, and education of
the people living there. With a poor road structure, it is hard to provide goods
and access services in that area.
