1. Share your academic and non-academic accomplishments.

Please elaborate on the

processes and skills you've acquired during your previous or ongoing degree program.

Social entrepreneurship is my passion. In my senior year of high school, coinciding with the
COVID-19 pandemic, I did my final project to help increase the sales of a local Small and
Medium-sized Enterprise (SME), making it the subject of my final project. My main focus was
implementing digital marketing strategies to support the growth of the SME’s sales. This
experience sparked my interest in the digital business world, leading me to decide to further
my education at Telkom University, specifically in the (ICT Business Management) MBTI
department.

Forming a group, creating a product, and selling it were the assignments for my
entrepreneurship course. We decided to sell mac and cheese balls and a traditional herbal
drink called "Jamu Buyung Upik". I was entrusted with handling the marketing and
production aspects. With excellent teamwork, we successfully achieved our goals. Despite
facing numerous challenges, such as juggling two job descriptions while fulfilling academic
obligations and participating in organizational activities, I successfully overcame these
hurdles. Our group successfully generated significant sales, leading to investments in our
team and product from the university. This experience helped me develop skills in teamwork,
problem-solving, leadership, negotiation, creative thinking, and decision-making.

Beyond the academic realm, I actively participated in the MBTI student organization as an
event division staff member in a community development program called "Sudut Berbagi".
This program provided a platform for students to contribute to those in need, both within and
beyond the campus community. I engaged in social activities such as visits to nursing homes
and orphanages, as well as fundraising campaigns. Participating in this social organization
pushed me out of my comfort zone, fostering my social awareness and improving my
communication skills.

To summarize, this experience not only expanded my knowledge and skills in

entrepreneurship but also improved my social and leadership talents. This set of abilities will
be a great starting point for overcoming obstacles in the business and community
development sectors in the future. Perhaps in the future, I can immerse myself in the field of
social entrepreneurship.

2. Please outline your plans and strategies for actively participating in local and
international communities throughout the IISMA program, and provide some concrete
examples.

A platform for active participation in local and global communities is also provided by the
IISMA program, which improves academic knowledge. My plan begins with fostering cultural
understanding through active participation in community events. I plan to attend local
festivals, workshops, and culture exchange programs to understand and connect with the
host culture. For instance, at the University of Waikato, I can engage in international Student
Events. By actively participating in these kinds of activities, I intend to bridge cultural
differences, build connections, and acquire insights into both the local culture and the
cultures of other participating nations in the event.
Furthermore, I would try to participate in global student organizations. Like the Erasmus
Student Network at Maastricht University and Middle East Technical University (METU).
Invite them to an event to introduce Indonesia's culture or attend international events to gain
another country's perspective. Together with other IISMA awardees, I want to introduce
Indonesian culture through traditional food, music, and fashion. I plan to highlight batik and
kebaya by wearing them on campus. I plan to collaborate with the Indonesian Student
Association (PPI) at my host university to organize a captivating event to introduce
Indonesian culture while also presenting and introducing Indonesian cuisine. The event
themes could be inspired by Indonesian folklore or coincide with significant dates such as
Independence Day. I also want to create content with the IISMA awardees on social media
where we invite students from different countries to react to Indonesian music, try out
Indonesian foods, etc.

I am also considering joining student clubs that align with my academic interests and
personal passions, specifically in the fields of business and entrepreneurship. At Maastricht
University, there is START Maastricht. START Maastricht is a platform to foster
entrepreneurial thinking amongst students in Maastricht and the surrounding regions. At
METU, there is the METU Business Club.

Through these plans, I aim to encourage cultural exchange, create an unforgettable

experience, and highlight Indonesian culture to both local and international communities. I
hope to make friends with people from all over the world and acquire new ideas on the
world.

3. Describe a challenging situation or an obstacle you encountered during your studies

and elaborate on the steps you took to navigate through it.

One of the prominent problems I experienced due to a lack of motivation was procrastination
on academic assignments. As a student, there were instances when I found it challenging to
summon the motivation to do assignments or prepare for exams. I struggle with time
management, especially when balancing academic responsibilities, social activities, and
personal interests. Due to a lack of structured planning, I often result in missed deadlines,
last-minute rushes, and disrupted social interactions. It makes my tasks far from perfect. For
example, there were occasions when social activities clashed with upcoming assignment
submissions, leaving me torn between academic responsibilities and the desire for a vibrant
social life.

To navigate through these challenges, I implemented several strategies. Firstly, by allocating

specific time slots for each subject, setting realistic goals, reducing non-essential social
activities, and including short breaks for rejuvenation. Additionally, I embraced the use of
time management tools, such as planner applications, to visualize and allocate my time
effectively. It was seen when I underwent a semester with an academic load that demanded
a lot of time and concentration. Faced with multiple assignments and exams, I recognized
the need for a structured study plan. By doing all of that, I have not only improved my
academic performance but also regained control over my time. Apart from that, I also
realized that I was more motivated to study and do my assignments by being involved with
my peers, forming study groups, teaching each other, and sharing knowledge.
In conclusion, the lack of motivation and challenges in time management within the realms of
academic, social, and personal activities is achievable through the implementation of
effective time management techniques and a personal commitment to change. I could
overcome this obstacle driven by a desire to evolve into a better version of myself and steer
clear of detrimental habits that could ruin both my academics and career.

4. Please elaborate on your current physical and mental health, including any dental or
oral treatment, medical interventions, and mental health therapy or counseling

As a member of the basketball team, prioritizing my mental and physical health has always
been a top concern for me. I consider myself a healthy individual; I rarely fall ill, and I
haven't required hospitalization in the past five years. Fortunately, I don't have any
congenital diseases, and I haven't contracted COVID-19. I strive to maintain a healthy
lifestyle by ensuring sufficient sleep and engaging in regular exercise, whether it's working
out in my room or playing basketball with friends. I am also mindful of my eating habits to
prevent gastritis, because I have one. In case of emergencies, I always carry the necessary
medications with me whenever I go out. I can ensure that my health will not be an obstacle
while I study abroad.

Talking about my mental health condition, I can confidently say that I am mentally stable. I
have never felt the need to visit a psychologist for therapy, as I possess effective coping
mechanisms and a supportive system for stressful days or challenging situations. When
faced with complicated conditions or feeling less than my best mental state, I engage in
activities that bring joy and relaxation, such as praying, reading, listening to music, or
spending time in nature. However, if a situation significantly impacts my physical or
mental well-being, I am prepared to seek help from a doctor or other professionals. I am
confident that my host university environment will have sufficient health facilities and
services.
