Write the established Criteria of 5 Characteristics of Effective Technical Writing (ETR).

Explain each point in your own words.
CLO-2 (5)
<------------------------------>
Effective technical writing is essential for making complicated technical information easy to
understand. There are six important things that make technical writing good:
1) Making It Clear: This means using simple words and avoiding hard-to-understand terms. It's
important to be really clear so that people don't get confused when they read your technical
stuff.
2) Keeping It Short: It's about not using extra words or repeating things. Good technical writing
is short and to the point. You want people to get the main idea without reading a lot of extra
stuff.
3) Being Right: Technical writing has to be correct. The facts and data should be accurate and
up-to-date. If it's wrong, it can lead to big problems.
4) Being Organized: This means putting things in a logical order. You use headings,
subheadings, and bullet points to help organize the information. It makes it easier for people
to find what they need.
5) Knowing Your Audience: You need to think about who is going to read your technical
writing. You write in a way that matches what your readers know and expect. You need to
understand their point of view.
6) Using Pictures: Sometimes, it's helpful to add pictures like diagrams, charts, or tables. These
visuals can make complex ideas easier to understand. But you should only use them when they
really help.
In a nutshell, good technical writing is clear, short, accurate, organized, fits the audience, and
sometimes uses pictures to explain things better. Following these rules makes sure that your
technical documents are useful and easy to read for the people who need them.
